Denver will win AFC West, because I have proof.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shanny has every right to feel good and justified in his arragance that he has something great here. Denver is going to be good. Last year everyone here was preaching how good Denver was going to be last year. I said that it doesn't matter how well they do in 2007 because in 2008 they will be loaded for a run at the division.
Even after Walker left and the draft nothing has swayed me from this.
I'm telling everyone here grab some ORANGE koolaid and hop on the MOTHER****ing BUS!!!!
Can't you see the plan? Shanny realized that after the 2005 AFC Champ game that this team was not built to win a SB. So he casts out Jake (go To Tampa you prick, he yelled as Jake was driving away in his Honda Element) Shanny then starts drafting players. CB's DLs, two OL in the first 3 rounds he is remaking both of these lines. Everything is falling into place. People laughed at the DL last year when the rooks were playing. Well, there are no rooks on this team and Moss and Crowder,Thomas and DOOM are going to be b**** slapping a lot of QBs this year!!!! The Babies are growing up. I love Denver's RBs, I love the depth at WR. I absolutley ****ing love Denver's TEs.(DID you hear? Nate Jackson is 1st string!!!) yaaaaayyyyyyyy
This team is hungry, their coach is hungry and I see a great season ahead. The best part about this is after Denver gets their 10 or 11 wins we will all be able to look to 2009 and say. "Denver is going to be even better". The last three drafts have been good, Shanny has it figured out now and the rest of the league will suffer from this.
So go get your Orange Crush, Coors Light, and paint your face. Stand in front of the mirror and practice what you'll do after Denver scores a TD. Make it look original because we don't want you looking foolish and we'll see you out there at the tailgate and make you shows us what you got. And No matter what you're costume looks like, you ain't got **** compared to what the Broncos are Bringing this year.
The Broncos are bringing all sort of ugly costumes to these games ,but they aren't really scarey no maybe in years past, now they are more pathetic. The names of these costumes will be equally silly. One costume will be called the Raiders.... And they wear these ugly black, moth invested uniforms. They will be worshiping 1980's anti-hero Darth Vader of all things. The will also be worshipping a 1920's owner who pisses himself regularly. Denver will punish the people wearing these uniforms. They will punish them with terrible percision and speed. But don't feel baldy for them it wasn't their fault, It was fate.
Another Godawful costume the Broncos are bringing to Mile High is the ****ing ugiest, mustard/ketcup color you have ever seen. I wanna puke everytime I see them. I guess their players like them because the colors remind them of wieners. I guess those rumors about KC were correct. Well, I'm either puking at their ugly uniforms or possibly I'm puking because by about middle of the 3rd quarter all this blood is gushing out of these poor creatures pie-holes.They will punish them with a horrible bloody vengence only ever before seen in slasher movies where the teenage girls are at camp and get slaughtered by a maniac. Well these ugly ass uniforms don't look like hot chicks but, yes, I must tell the truth.......... Hot or not they will get slaughtered just the same. But don't feel baldy for them it wasn't their fault, It was fate. The next group of girls coming to Mile High are wearing powderpuff. Don't let the p***Y colors scare you. These b****ies have had a 3 year cramp and it just won't go away. This might serve them well at home but what they don't understand is that the altitude is really going to play havac on their menstrual cycles and make them gush like the Mississippi during flood season. Denver will cut off their heads and use them as props during the halftime bowling showing. They will also expand halftime since there are no Chargers left to play.
Prediction Denver goes 5-1 in the AFC West. They finish with a 11-5 rercord and win the division by default because all the Charger players are dead.

I am with Atlas on this.
Rivers will choke on his own arrogance and LT will be on the bench so I would not be shocked if we took the AFC west after beating up on Raiders and KFC and spliting with Chuggers.
Pray that our FG kicker pans out.

I think we can split the season series with the Chuggers if they are all dead... in both games.
Either this is another growth year or we are surprise team to make playoffs.

Naw man. You didn't read the post. The Chuggers didn't die in a freak lunch hour accident. No they were systematically and violently destroyed on the playing field. After The Broncos were done bowling, all their heads were set next to the body it belongs to for easy cleanup.

Homer post of the year. Nobody in the division is as talented as the Chargers. Even with Rivers, they are better than anybody in the west.
Denver will be lucky to win 10 games this year.
The Broncos have an average OL with an unproven rookie at LT, one real receiving threat and a decent one in Scheffler, your DL is the same but with a scrub from NY that never panned out, your LB corps looks to be one of the 10 worst in the NFL and your secondary is average/overrated outside of Champ Bailey.
I don't see it. The Chargers are stacked. Top 5 OL, top 5 DL, best RB in the NFL, all pro TE, deep secondary and a very good pass rush from the LB's.
Chargers have this division on lock down for the next year or two.

I agree. I tend to lean towards the one more year philosphy on this but you have to love our prospects when the two options are young suprise team or young developing team. thats way better than where the faid and the chefs are I would take young up and comers over fubar'ed forever.

i have been saying it all offseason denver will finish 12-4 and win the division.
also, San Diego won't be nearly as good as in years past for simple reasons. the team is due a down year, and i honestly think that LT and the team will miss Michael Turner and Lorenzo Neal. I would not be surprised if the offense had a down year because of them being gone.

10-6 IF (big IF!) the rooikies all turn out to be as good as the are projected.
This year will all be on the rookies from the last draft. PERIOD.
The 2008 draft was the "GLUE" draft for DEN.
As i watched along with all you draft junkies here, E!SPN and NFL NETWORK, we realized as the draft went by, and DEN passed on guys like "mesean" (thank god!) that Shanny was creating a draft of overacheivers.
A draft of guys that had terms and catch phrases attatched to them like, hard worker, gym rat, hates to lose, takes it personally, plays with a mean streak, LEADER, TEAM CAPTAIN, overacheiver, plays hard every down, academic honors.
There were NO DOWNSIDES to the players personally. No attitude problems.(Barrett obviously had a issue with Erickson, but it was kept quiet, between themselves)
But Barrett was a team captian and leader. As was Hillis.
Every guy had HUGE potential UPSIDE. every guy was a "football player".
Every guy had a personal quest, from their bio's to be a NFL difference maker. Not just a "show me the money" @$$clown with a bunch of attitude and a "Posse". No, just a bunch of VERY, VERY hungry football players.
Attitude.
Every guy is a "boot to @$$" football player. And none of these guys are intimidated. Thats obvious. Just read the camp reports.
Thats why i call it the "GLUE" draft.
These are the players that are going to be the "glue" of this team for the next 10 years.
I see all of these guys going the extra mile from the outset of training camp, and just right through to the season with a big chip on their shoulder.
These are the kind of guys you "glue" together a hard working, @$$kicking team with.
These are the kind of guys that take a rivalry personally and right from the start. And i dont mean like Ian Gold having a great time talking to his friends and buddies on the opposing team, laughing and giggling away.
No. i get the distinct impression from these guys in college and so far in camp, that there is a NEW mentality in the denver locker room, and it is one made up of a standard of hard work and determination.
John Lynch leaving doesnt suprise me at all. He just personally understood that his time as a leader in DEN was over, and once he saw all of the guys that were drafted in 2008, i think he realized the team is in good hands, and it was time to simply move on. Good for John!
Well, after a rant like that i will simply wrap it up by saying that it seems that Shanny has taken a page out of a old mentor and drafted much like Bill Walsh of 49er fame with a couple straight impressive drafts that will lay the groundwork for a future powerhouse.
In 79, 81, 83 and 86 SF had incredible drafts mapping out a superpower.
Looks like Shanny has done the same.

Couldn't disagree more. I think the Defense alone playing a scheme more suited to their players will improve the win column by 1 or 2 games. If the line stays healthy then it could easily be 3 more. If anything this team is better not worse.

Well the line isn't that bad off. Nalen's MRI came back negative, and Holland will be back. Marshall may miss games but D-Jack has been tearing it up and Royal looks to be ahead of schedule. Shanny raves about Royal.
I think the team might go 2-2 in the first 4 but after that I think they will be good. I am not saying 12-4 good but 9-7 to 10-6 good. I first thought 8-8 but I just think Shanny will eek a winning record out no matter what.

dudes, didnt you hear that we will rip their heads off and bowl with them? We need to do this early in the home opener so we can claim that as a win. Eliminate the competition . You are just jealous because the Chargers can beat your Chiefs headless. Deal with it. I am coming through Atlas. We will beat the Chargers, one head at a time.

Denver was 7-9 last year and they are improved at almost every position. If you consider last years rookies 2nd year players getting better an improvement.
All these players played a part in last years team and all of them should be better next year
Moss, Scheffler, Marshall, Cutler, Young, Hall, Martinez, Crowder, Thomas, Kuper, Pears, Harris, Foxworth, Paymah

Apparently I hit a nerve...
LT is not an easy position to play and Clady will take time to develop as the year goes on just like every other rookie LT.
But if you want to proclaim them super hero's after one week of training camp then by all means do it...even KC fans aren't as big of homer's as Bronco fans. Glenn Dorsey is the closest thing to the real deal in the draft and KC fans aren't prepping him up to be the best thing since sliced bread

All these players played a part in last years team and all of them should be better next year
Moss, Scheffler, Marshall, Cutler, Young, Hall, Martinez, Crowder, Thomas, Kuper, Pears, Harris, Foxworth, Paymah
Every team in the NFL can say their rookies from last season will be better than last year. It won't be true until they prove it on the field

dudes, didnt you hear that we will rip their heads off and bowl with them? We need to do this early in the home opener so we can claim that as a win. Eliminate the competition . You are just jealous because the Chargers can beat your Chiefs headless. Deal with it. I am coming through Atlas. We will beat the Chargers, one head at a time.
Ummm KC beat the Chargers by double digits at their house last season. Might be better to look up the stats before making dumb assumptions Hilarious!

That was last year and this year they will beat you without heads. After you beat them, you spent all your good karma and decided to lose every game thereafter. You need to roll with this thread just like the CHargers heads. I dont need stats. I just need Atlas and his crystal ball.

Clady is a rookie but is already our best olineman even better than Nalen. He has looked amazing in camp and does not get fooled twice by Moss of Doom.
Clady will be a beast at LT and Albert will be a BEAST at LG.

Dude. Shanny said "We're not gonna miss the playoffs." You may as well start your reasoning from that assumption right now. All of a sudden you know more about the team than Shanny? Please.
J/K. It sure was interesting that Shanny said that. Very interesting. I'll have to wait and see how the first-teamers look in preseason.

Waiter, I'll have some of what he's having please!! :sunshine:

Clady has been solid he looks like he has been a pro for years. But you are right game speed will show his value. But I think he is going to be a beast. Basically the anti-Foster.

Looks like Shanny has done the same.
this bad mother****er here needs some rep for this post.
I figure it this way. If you have a good organization with a solid owner and solid coaching, like we have, it's a law of averages. You will not always win and you will not always lose. Look at how pathetic the Pats were for years, now they have been the best of teams over the past few. Trust me, things will average back out and they won't be on top long either. You can only draft high so many years in a row (and that gets compounded because you draft high in each round). Injuries are a big part too, which they have not really had any major injuries to major players, as we have had more then our share.
I see us on the way back to big success.

Why in the world would the D line not be better than last year? They had already started playing a lot better when the swithed back to the old defense and Moss was injured, Crowder and Thomas were rookies? How can they not be better.
Just seems like common sense that this D-Line is going to take a huge step forward this year.
McCree beat Lynch out so it would seem to me than that's an upgrade. It would actually be more scarey to me if Denver was still counting on Lynch to play.
LBers are a gray area I'll give you that.

Not only will we bowl with their heads but we will bowl a perfect 300, maybe even a 400...we will be that good.
Name a team where they have 100% attendance at OTA's? Where the QB and WR don't think that is enough and practice in Atlanta with the undiagnosed beetus?
That is effing commitment and professionalism, and that wins you games. The Broncos are the sleeping giant of the NFL. This year will be great, I am wiling to say (even though I am new to the mane) if we don't have a great season I want Taco to ban me and my IP, and I'll stick to talking to the idiots on Broncos Country like I did before the server crash.
