Another hot day at camp, but I got there late at 9:30. I skipped the warm up and saw mostly the squad scriamge.
Offense:
QB's:
Jay Cutler: Had a much better day. Partly was because the line was blocking much better. The other was the fact that he had better footwork. Was able to move the team down the field 70 yards that included 2 3rd down convertions a 20+ yard complition to Marshall. And a 4th down convertion. Also made a couple of TD throws to Graham and Marshall during Red Zone work
Patrick Ramsey: Back to practice. Still inaccurate. unable to move the team down the field.
Darrell Hackney: Back to working with the 3's.
RB's:
35 Young, Selvin: Runs with the 1's. Catches well out of the back field.
23 Hall, Andre: Runs with bothe the 1's and 2's. Hard to find in the crowd.
42 Torain, Ryan: Most interesting thing about todays camp was the fact that he ran with the 1's and 2's also. Mostly during short yardage and goalline and scored a TD during Goalline work.
38 Alridge, Anthony: He might have ran a close second to Samie Parker. But he takes the corner so fast. Its going to be really interesting to see how he is going to get in the game like draws, screens, and bubble passes.
37 Sapp, Cecil: DNP Almost all of practice they were either in 3 WR or 2 TE sets.
28 Pittman, Michael: DNP
48 Hillis, Peyton: DNP
TE's:
89 Graham, Daniel: Had a good practice. Caught a TD from Cutler during Red Zone work. Also did some work lineing up at fullback.
81 Jackson, Nate: Runs mostly out of the slot. Did not have a catch.
84 Pierce, Brett: Hard to judge this guy. Every once in a while I see this guy make a play. During 7-7 drills made a catch out running Boss Bailey (note 7-7 drill favor offenses).
88 Scheffler, Tony: After reading the Rocky Mountain news today I'm starting to understand why he's running with the 3's. He's not making cuts like he should. He's getting open like he did on Red Zone today but it was on a straight route.

83 Leach, Mike: DNP
WR's
15 Marshall, Brandon: Had no drops today. Made a nice TD grab Druing RED Zone work.
82 Jackson, Darrell: Very consistant. Jay is trying to look his way a little more.
14 Stokley, Brandon: His a machine, a slot machine. Ran a nice dig route to convert a 2nd and 7 on end of practice drive.
19 Royal, Eddie: I didn't see it but made a woohoo catch in the end zone during 7-7. Also fielded punts on punt coverage and looks fast.
13 Colbert, Keary: Inconsistant. Made a nice diveing catch only to drop a pass that hits him in the hands.
17 Martinez, Glenn: Also inconsistant. Made one grab and had two drops across the middle.
9 Jacobs, Taylor: unnoticed
10 Russell, Clifford: unnoticed
87 Sam, Lorne: unnoticed
12 Parker, Samie: unnoticed
16 McDaniel, Marquay: unnoticed
OL's
Today was the best day to see the OL and DL. It was because WR, CB and QB were working on one side of the field and OL and DL was working on the other. On a side note I think this Drill favors the defense more than the offense like the 7-7 drills favor the offense so take this stuff with a large grain of salt.
78 Clady, Ryan: He is a big guy. During 1-1 nobody could get past him. There was one time when Moss put a speed rush on and Clady didn't quite push him pass the QB but it was only one time and Moss could do it again. The onlt problem to say was when there was a twist or stunt called. On the first rep Hamilton and him talked about what would happen and what to do. i guess they got their lines crossed because the DT got passed them.
74 Harris, Ryan: We are in trouble if he sees the field this year. just about everybody beat him. outside, inside, one move, double move, Help no help it didn't matter.
64 Pears, Erik: I don't get the hate for this guy. He played LT when Lepsis went down 2 years ago and played ok. Then last year played RT and played ok. I mean very few false starts and holding calls hardly gave up any sacks. During the morning practice was beat once by a speed rush from Moss and that was more because he was caught extending instead of shuffling his feet.
76 Polumbus, Tyler: I think Shannahan has found another jem. Right now he does get fooled by the double move when Crowder did a outside in move.
73 Kuper, Chris: Thank goodness for Kuper. Bull rush, speed rush, single block , combo block he proformed well during the entire drill.
50 Hamilton, Ben: I don't know if its a good idea to have him come back. Gets beat buy speed rush conssitantly.
65 Gandy, Dylan: I had high hopes for this guy. But is better than Hamilton and I hope he gets pushed into the 1's
61 Erickson, Mitch: Practice squader
69 Alexander, P.J.: ok but only under break glass because of emergency reasons.
70 Holland, Montrae: DNP
62 Wiegmann, Casey: No Tommy Nalen but he'll work for now.
67 Lichtensteiger, Kory: Works little every where hard to make a call on how good he is.
66 Nalen, Tom: DNP
