1st pick in the draft gets 3 of the first 17 players in an 8 team league. Last pick gets their 3rd player at 24. Either way, just draft smart and make the best of it.
1st pick this year is tricky. The top 2 according to FF sites are Peterson and LT but I'd prefer not to have either. After the top 2, it falls off fast and hard. Just look at the top performers and see who you think can keep it up another year. This year you have to do your homework to see who will seperate themselves from the pack.

Depends on how the FF league is scored but I took a RB in my FF league with the first and generally thats good practice. I would take LT. Proven commodity. Although Adrian Peterson could be a beast too.

In my league I'm going QB, I have the second pick.
Brady or Manning for sure.
But LT other than that would work.

The ONLY way you should go QB with the #2 pick is if your league has a scoring system that rewards passing TDs with 6 pts.

Aren't those contradictory statements? You concede that the top 2 are far and away better than the next batch of guys, but you say you'd prefer not to have either. Seems odd to me.

tom brady, using my scoring system, had like 80 more points then LT did. LT got injured at the end of last year and lost lorenzo and michael turner.....
tom brady doesnt get injured.

You'd be surprised what some will do during a draft. I've seen people go QB in the early first round even though it's a "four point" league.

I think we can all agree that last year was an absolutely ridiculous year for Brady. You can't exactly bet on the fact that a guy is going to go out there and put up the best season a QB has ever had before, though, regardless of his past (lack of) injury history.
Obviously I don't know what your scoring system looks like, but 99% of the time in a "four pt/passing TD" league, at least the top 5 or so scorers are going to be the top running backs.

Just saying I know how to draft in my league, that's all.

Why would you even question LT? LT Is unanimously the #1 pick for the past few years.
Youll just have to settle for the best fantasy player period with that #1 pick. WAAAAAAAAAH.

I had Brady last year and he racked up the points for me. I was kicking myself because I could have gotten Randy Moss but skipped him thinking he would be a bust. I came in second and would have won had I drafted him in the 4th round.
I go LT and don't even think twice about it.

I always laugh at the guys in my league. The scoring heavily favors QB's over any other position, yet our first round went
Tomlinson
Peterson
Jackson
Westbrook
Addai
Then finally Brady
etc.
