Jacobs Re-signed, Shepherd on IR

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- A little over a month ago Taylor Jacobs was released following the end of the Broncos' organized team activities. Two days into training camp Jacobs is returning to the team.

Along with Jacobs' signing the team announced that wide receiver Edell Shepherd will be placed on the reserve/injured list.

Jacobs spent 2007 with club appearing in six games on special teams. In those contests he returned three kicks for 35 yards and tallied 4 special teams tackles.

In 56 career games including 7 starts Jacobs has totaled 37 receptions for 387 yards with two touchdowns.

Jacobs will wear jersey No. 9 for the Broncos.

I didn't know we re-signed him. That said, I'm not sure I knew he existed, either.

At first, I was worried about Brandon Marshall's potential suspension, but with this news, I don't even give a ****. Who needs BMarsh now?

I think this is a definite sign Marshall's not recovering as hoped so they're already trying to find his replacement. That sucks... what could've been.

Since Powell is out for the year , why can't we put him on the reserve/injured list too. That way we can bring someone else in to camp ?
