Dangit! This better not be a sign of things to come.

Notice to all players: Stretch like a mutha before each practice. If you stand around for more than 5 minutes, stretch some more. Most injuries to muscles, ligaments and tendons occur when a player is tight.

When I played football, the guys who would tweak their hammies and get cramps the most, were the ones who didn't stretch enough and didn't hydrate properly. You pay close attention to those two areas and you have a great shot at making it through TC unscathed!

Stay loose and stay healthy, boys!!

They can bring him back on any time, up to later in the year.

i thought it was like if he was on the pup he could rejoin the team anytime up to the 6th week then they go to IR

at least that was my impression of it

is this a season ending type of thing ? does PUP end the year for a dude? I didn't think it did.

Also, I change my vote on wolf. Ban him to the denverbroncos.com boards.

I dont remember the exact week, but that soudns right. ha, "late" in the year should have been "later." I'll edit it, thanks.

Actually, they can bring him back any time until the roster has to be cut to 53. At that time, he has to either be one of the 53 or put on the PUP. If he is put on the PUP at that time, then he must miss the 1st 6 weeks of the season. After that, I believe there is a 3 week window in which he can practice, but once that expires he must be either added to the roster, cut, or placed on IR.

thats right, he would miss the first 6 weeks if the reg season was to start while he was still on the list, after that there is the window for returns

I dunno ...

1. A player on the PUP does not count against the active roster.
2. A player on the PUP can not practice with the team, but can rehab privately and attend team meetings.
3. A player on the PUP can be activated at any time during training camp.
4. A player on the PUP will be strictly reserve until Week 6 once the season starts.
5. There's a 3 week window (Weeks 7-9) in which a player on the PUP can practice with the team. At the end of this window, the player must be activated or place on the PUP or IR for the remainder of the season.
6. A player can only be placed on the PUP before the start of training camp in most situations. The real rule is that a player can not be placed on the PUP after being listed on the Active Roster at any time after the first day of training camp.

Hercules Rockefeller posted that awhile back and I saved it.

He could very well be taken off PUP next week. Or later in camp. It allowes them to bring in another body. Have to wait until the press conference to see what is exactly going on.

Nate Jackson said on the radio this morning that this years training camp is going to be less physical and more mental. Wonder if the injury bug is driving this.

There's your silver lining ... if he does stay on PUP all year, he'll be geared up to make the rotation in '09.

Steve Harris is intriguing ... nobody mentions him.

Shanny's statements yesterday seemed to indicate that having 80 guys instead of 90 has an effect, too.

One d-lineman already down and camp just opens today.

Makes you wonder if there isn't something just WRONG about our training / medical staff, when this type of thing just keeps happening.

Great. When it rains, it pours. Marshall's arm is an issue (not surprising) Holland is too fat to play and Powell tears an Achilles five seconds into his career. I suppose I should be grateful nobody died this year. This team is cursed.

Ok Khan its the first day of camp. I wouldn't call Marshall's hand an issue. In a week, yes. Cutler was quoted as saying he thinks its just rust as he hasn't caught passes in a while.

I'm less concerned with Marshall as he might miss 1/4 of the season or more. It would just be nice if we had some good news out of camp. Thank goodness for Oskie and Hillis.

I understand Kaylore's frustration. In the span of three years, we've had two players die, a lot of players get injured (Moss, Smith, Nalen, Lepsis) and have just had a string of bad luck with Cutler getting diabetes, Marshall's saga, etc. -- that all the bad news gets really old.

Not one day of camp went by without a big negative. Powell could have gotten a lot of PT as a 4th DT this year. Sucks boner.
