The book on: Brandon Marshall

A rival sizes up the Broncos’ talented young wide receiver:

“Height, weight, speed, strength – he’s an imposing figure. He can catch the ball, break tackles and run after the catch. He represents a problem. He’s as good as Andre Johnson, who’s a Pro Bowl player in Houston. He’s as good as he wants to be, as far as on the field, with no limitations as far as what he can do. He’s the complete package. He’s Terrell Owens without the hype, the popcorn and the Sharpies and all that.

“To try and slow him down, I think the best thing to do is get up in his face and hit him before he starts running. But we respect him. When I was talking to my players before we played them, I told them he’s the next superstar-in-waiting.”

A bit too early to quite say "5 cent head," though I acknowledge it's headed in that direction.

He seems such a charming, humble, smiling young guy ... not a TO at all. If he shows up Friday ready to go - no restrictions - then I'm gonna give our best offensive player last year the benefit of the doubt

How are people still being fooled thinking Wolf is a Bronco fan?

I do not think anyone questions Marshall's talent, it's his brains and off-field behavior. Kid can play and still has a lot to learn and hone. He was not very successful versus good CB's last year, but abused mediocre and weak ones. He has the ability to do to good CB's what Plaxico Burress did to Al Harris in the playoffs. ABUSE THEM!

I just Worry he will self destruct like so many other talented WR's have in the past. He fits the profile, I just hope he wakes up and realizes how special he could be when he applies himself to football instead of infamy.

He just needs to hang around people like Cutler and stay out of trouble. I believe that once training camp starts he will be so busy with football that he will stay out of trouble, and the same thing goes for the regular season

Cutler is a peer and has been good for him. They are growing together. Hopefully Marshall wont want to grow apart any further. Cutler could be great for his career and someone needs to make sure that he understands that.

Hopefully his injury was the wake-up call. I'm still nervous about his ability to hang onto the ball in the RAC.

B-Marsh is undoubtedly the most fun Bronco to watch during my lifetime, IMO. The only person who can stop him from becoming the best WR in Broncos history is himself.

I'm 23 (24 in two weeks). I'm not saying he's the BEST player I've seen - that would be Terrell Davis. He's just the most fun. Watching B-Marsh absolutely son people after-the-catch made a 7-9 season fun for me.

If Brandon Marshall is eating his babies with coaches of other teams it should be considered tampering.

I have finally gotten to the point where I just have to ignore you. We all know that Marshall needs to grow up thank you capt. obvious. And you must be hitting the bong if you think for a second that Shannahan will cut his best offencive weapon. I can acknowledge the kid has faults and needs to do some work but so did Rod once apon a time. STFU @ss hat.

I didn't really start understanding football until circa 1996, so I missed Elway's greatest days. Sharpe was a great one as well but in my lifetime of really understanding the game, I've not seen a Bronco better than TD - Champ is 2nd.

Ok, fair enough....

For me, Champ has been amazing to watch...i used to play corner and the things he can do against the best WRs in football is just flat out amazing

TD was great, for the short time he played..... but Elway will always have that top spot for me...at least for now (cmon #6)

Its unfortunate that you missed Elway. Even in his rookie year, he WAS the entertainment. He made a team-less boy from Oklahoma a Broncos fan the first time I saw him play.
