Cutler higher than all 2006 QBs.
Croyal didn't make top 25? I'm sure that will change as soon as he get a win under his belt. Maybe sometime in the 2nd half of the season, that is if he is still starting of course.

...the guy throws like a girl. How patient can the chargerfans be, when they've got a franchise TE and RB....AND a great defense...but can't even GET to the SB with their nancyboy QB?

I was thinking about that the other day. Can we petition the Broncos to play the Monica Seles grunt on the loudspeaker every time he throws the ball?

Rivers is NOT better than Garrard.
Cutler had better stats than Rivers with crappier talent and he played through the 'beetus. I know people are giving props for Rivers playing on a bad knee, but he still played like crap. Cutler played well when he was essentially starving to death.

Of course Cutler looks better than Croyle. Cutler had healthy RB's which ranked 9th in the NFL in rush offense and his offensive line gave up 32 sacks compared to KC's 55.
Now I know this is hard for Bronco fans to answer, but honestly. How do you think Jay Cutler would have done in an offense that ranked dead last in rush offense and sacks allowed combined with an OC who had no idea what he was doing?

Had to search till the end of the web to find a site that had Rivers ranked ahead of Cutler. I just love the retarded Charger fans on here.

I big part of the reason your rushing attacked sucked and your line sucked was because how bad your QB sucked you wall stud.

I feel bad for you guys. You don't know how good you had it. With all the problems on your team, you at least had hope. That might sound silly, but let me explain. With the team so terrible you can blame all of Croyle's problems on the team. I mean you can honestly tell yourselves that Croyle is Joe Montana 2 and that Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would have put up the same stats behind that line. (This of course isn't so.) But at least you have those excuses to fall back on. It will be hard on you Chief fans when the line plays better and Croyle is still sailing balls high over the middle and getting intercepted.
Enjoy this moment in time, KC. Savor every second. Very soon the excuses will be gone and you'll be left with that sad feeling in your stomach that Croyle is just a fragile, inaccurate QB and he really actually made many of those mistakes on his own.

How do you figure that? Denver had their starting RB out with an injury and was forced to play two rookies (Young, Hall). At least KC had veteran thousand yard rusher Michael Bennet to back up Johnson.

If that's what you think, then stick to it. Very few KC fans think Brodie will be a pro bowler, but he showed quite a few bright spots last season that indicate that he will be a solid QB and to be honest, I'm surprised he had an even TD to INT ratio.
I find it funny that you think Croyle is inaccurate. All young QB's are inaccurate at times, even Jay Cutler. But then again you think that every Chiefs player isn't good...
I just find it funny that fans like you immediately judge a young QB like this who was in a bad situation. Croyle had just as good a stats as Trent Edwards who had a lot of help in his situation.
We'll see how he does this year with an improved, but still not great OL, LJ being back and finally being the number 1 QB getting reps with Bowe and Gonzo full on.

Bennett was traded in week 6. LJ got hurt, Priest was old and Kolby was ok but not spectacular. KC's RB at the end of the season was Jackie Battle

I think you are looking at it backwards, perhaps the KC running game stunk badly due to Defenses not having to respect Croyle at QB. We said it last year, load the line of scrimage and force Croyle to beat you...because he can't.

So goes the life of an NFL franchise.
I'm convinced Cutler would have surpassed Croyle's stats if the roles were reversed. Jay makes plays, period. He can make every throw, both with power and accuracy. He can scramble and turn a loss into a gain, and is cool under pressure. Finally, he has the gunslinger mentality always looking for the deep pass and a quick six.
I didn't watch every KC game but Croyle was extremely underwhelming in those I saw. I simply don't see any comparison to Croyle and Cutler. But, as you accurately state, we'll all see this year how each player progresses.

His '07 postseason may have been a sign of things to come. No "may" about it. When this list is generated next year- he'll be top 5.

Actually, stats and not wins are what the pro-Cutler crowd uses to fall back on during any Rivers-Cutler debate.

2007 - Donkeys - 7-9 (http://www.nfl.com/players/jaycutler/gamelogs?id=CUT288111&season=2007)
Total: 9-12 which equals a .428 winning percentage

2005 - 5-6
2004 - 2-9
2003 - 2-10
2002 - 2-10
Note: Numerous references said Cutler played in 45 games at Vandy and his winning percentage was 11-34 (.244). The four year record adds up to 11-35, so he must have been injured for one loss somewhere along the way.
Cutler hasn't had a winning record since high school.

I'm sure Phillip Rivers would have a couple of winning seasons playing with those teams... :spit:

Theres a huge difference. We actually won games because of Cutler and rarely lost them because of him. Simply put, if you cant stop the run in the NFL, its almost impossible to win. Last I checked, Cutler doesnt play defense. Also, when you look at our early wins last year, Jay was stellar on last minute drives, especially the Buffalo game. When the pressure was on Jay was able to step up and make a series of clutch throws to give Elam an opportunity to win the game. Not only that but our running game was stagnant prior to Jay becoming the starter. Once he was inserted, our running game opened up. From what I saw that cant really be said for Croyle. Whatever our problems are, its not Jay. He hasnt made that step up to the elite level yet but he's definitely far better than what KC has seen from Croyle.
And regarding Cutler in college, he was voted the preseason all SEC QB going into his senior year. So he had the respect of the SEC coaches while playing for a school what has typically been a doormat for what is generally considered to be the toughest conference in college football. Jay actually made Vanderbilt competitive. Its hard to win when your outmanned as Vandy is, but the fact that Vandy was competitive is a credit to Jay.

The answer to that is easy. No offense with Cutler will be last in the league in rushing offense unless its because Denver starts passing 70% or the time. Prior to Jay entering the lineup as a rookie, our running game had dropped off and all the Jake apologists were blaming the running game, when in reality it was Jake's limitations that were making it hard to scheme. When Jay entered the lineup, within 2 games our running game had significantly improved and the reason was that with Jays arm and ability to throw from the pocket defenses had to defend the entire field. And Cutler had that effect coming out of the womb so to speak. Now, Denvers running game hasnt been good enough to dominate with regularity but it can still do it enough to where at the end of the season, theres no way Denvers going to be last in rushing.

Minus three starting O-Lineman for most of the season to boot.
