There are a lot of photo buffs around here so I thought some folks would enjoy checking out this cool experience I had for a photo gig last week.
More photos and a complete slide show here (http://www.zachishere.com/2008/07/13/powered-parachute-photos/). I couldn't embed it into the forum but here are a few shots.
These are just a few I picked out of the group.

Did you know someone had etched a big C in the middle of your lense?

That's a pretty good business. I've thrown away a lot of cameras over the years for what I thought was damage. I should have just marketed them on eBay as improvements.
Nice pictures, by the way.

Seriously. It makes what would be really cool pictures annoying to look at. Why not a little C in the bottom right corner? Nice work, anyway.

Nah...clearly the dude is changing his name to a symbol. Like Prince did, ya know?
I think that his symbol has something to do with postmodernism and the evolution of the word "cool". I could be wrong though.

It is actually my modern interpretation of the word "Callipygian"

See...I knew I was reading a little much into the camera angles and the juxtaposition of the wheel...

The C is for Clady.
He's having a hell of a time selling his Nikon with "George Foster" etched into the lense.

20 mins east of Kansas City in a countryish area called Greenwood. Just outside of the suburbs.

I've heard that model is a slow seller. Apparently, it has a pretty serious lag.
It's too bad. When it first came out, it was billed as being really fast.

Its annoying and easy to remove by anyone even remotely versed in photoshop. I dont understand why people feel the need to copyright their photography. If you plan on selling it, dont put it online, period. If you want to show pictures, show the ones you dont plan on selling.
Other than that though, cool pics sans the big fat gay C.

The quality of the picture by a standard high enough to get any decent print quality would be hurt by photoshopping out the C.
Alot of images I take are sold online.
The amount of people well versed in PS is quite quite small.

Which begs the question, if you intend on selling these particular photographs, why post them? If you sell online, offer up smaller thumbnails of the image without the copyright. One no one can do much with anyway, that way they can see them without you screwing the picture up.
Im all for you and other photographers trying to make money on something trivial like photography. If you can find a sucker willing to pay, snake him. Or her. But for the purposes of showing people a fun experience, perhaps you should have offered up a freebie or two or chosen some of the less-than-likely-to-sell images to us so we didnt get screwed on viewing what would otherwise have been great images.
Just saying.

Meh, their quality is still obvious and they can't be ripped off.
Didn't thing the C was going to ruin so many days.

Do you know how many of those POS contraptions crash every year. I don't care you much the gig paid no way in hell I get on that thing.
Also aren't watermarks suposed to be subtle and allow the viewer to still enjoy the picture. That thing is not a watermark that is an ink blot.

A Lot!
Seriously not that many but I wouldn't get on them. I am one of those that thinks jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is ludicrous so I wouldn't go sky diving.

By the way I read on your blog that you were expecting to be taking photographs from an airplane at first. This probably worked out better because you had free unobstructed views from that contraption. In the plane it would be inside you would have obstructions from the wings and it would be hard to get as good of shots unless you had a plane equiped for aerial photography. So this was way better.
I also noticed you took a picture of the Light Sport warning. No need to worry while it doesn't comply with standard aircraft warnings it has its own classification and regulations under the FAA. So its not completely unsafe.
