The city should instead be called Seahaven and there should be cameras planted everywhere and following some poor sap 24/7. The poor sap won't know that cameras are on him around the clock, and he shouldn't be able to leave "The World", er, Seahaven, from the day he was born.
His wife will seem odd. His neighbors, weird. Everything is just one degree off normal, though he can't quite pinpoint what normal is.
Residents of the rest of the world should be able to follow his story as a forever-running, never-ending soap opera.
Or so it seems to me... that's how it should be.
Pretty trippy place.
No thanks, I'll pass.

Hmmmm. Doesn't everyone's life seem like that, at least occasionally? I mean, we're about to have an election where one candidate reminds me of a smooth-talking borg who just finished potty training and the other reminds me of Captain Queeg. That doesn't seem right or normal. I don't care to be assimilated and I didn't steal any strawberries. Why couldn't either of them run on a platform of "I will do my best to leave Americans alone and butt out of their lives." But maybe I'm the one who's a degree off normal. Most Americans seem to be eagerly anticipating having one of these guys butting into their lives for the next eight years.

Why Queeg and not Nemo?
