I thought I was going to see a 17 year old chick perform an excerpt from Ibsen's "Doll house".

I have seen this before. I think he's going to play for Michigan.

He walks down that kid's back...

He's going to Michigan. He probably won't play much unless he gains a ton of weight. He's crazy fast and agile, though. Especially for a white kid.

And they said white kids can't jump?

Elway throwing the ball like 90 yards in the air for a TD I'd say tops that play.

I'd say it was the play against KC where he went to his right, near the sideline, and threw the ball across the field. That play tore Marty's heart out. I'd like to see the video of that play again.....

Great play, but the thread is about a high school play. The play that I was talking about was when Elway was at Granada Hills High School.

But if you could find that play against KC, I'd love to see it again.

I once caused a fumble, that has to be on the top 10 list.

Before I started wearing contacts I wore some Eric Dickerson goggles during games. It was a really hot day, they fogged up, and I still picked off the pass when I could barely see the ball. Put that one in the top 10 too!!! ;D

So did I, we will both make the top 5 I'm sure. ^5

In college I was rushing the passer and I came from behind and just took the ball out of his hands and ran into the end zone. I then spiked the ball and got a 15 yard penalty for the extra point.

We scored over 40 points that day and that was the only extra point our kicker made.

"McGuffie a 6-foot, 190-pound streak of lightning who can bench press 355 pounds, tightrope the sideline and flip over 6-7, blue-chip offensive linemen without dropping the football."

I can't wait to see this kid play at the next level. What a freak!

That is a cool article. Great story. I'm going to keep my eye on the Michigan backfield the next few years and see if he mounts to anything.

The change in coaching staffs and playing style is best thing to happen to him. He will be able to play in spread offense that should cater to his strengths.

I don't think there is much to counter the play in the original post but...

Once during a HS game a missed blocking assignment and a runner slipping caused one of the most embarrassing turnovers I have ever seen at any level. A blitzing linebacker shot through the A gap (between the center and guard) untouched to find a running back that was supposed to get the ball up the middle but fell down somehow. He took the hand off from the QB and eluded an attempt by the RB to wrap up his ankles to go the other way for the TD. Just took the ball right out of the QB's hands like it was meant for him.

Also, our special teams coach noticed during film study for an upcoming opponent that their kick off return team's front line wasn't paying attention to the ball going past them on kicks. They would just immediately fall back to form a wedge. After some practice during the week they ended up executing it during the game. The kicker kicked the ball 10 yards out to an end running down the sideline for a kick and catch that gave us the ball uncontested. It worked for the opening kick of the game and even worked again in the second half.

Effing Bear Creek with effing Justin Holland (I want to say, their star QB) kicked an onside kick after scoring on the opening drive my Sophomore year. Jerks.

I was once blocking for a play where we threw a pass to our WR, who then threw a TD late in the 4th qtr to beat our rival Columbine. Best play in high school ever in my opinion. I should have had schools begging for my 190lbs offensive guard in 5A football instead of joining the Marine Crops. I cut people all the time, and held on every pass play I would have made Ryan Clady jealous, with my cheats.
