View Full Version : OT: Photoshop to the Rescue: How I salvaged a picture with Jarvis Moss

So I've been stewing since Fan Fair that I waited in line for about an hour to get my picture taken with Jarvis Moss and in a shot that looked like it would come out perfect (other than my terrible sunburn from the day before), I come home to find out Jarvis' eyes are closed in the shot. So, I log onto the website of the company that was taking the professional shots and order the picture. It arrives and while in this shot Jarvis' eyes are open, the picture is very out of focus and almost grayscale. So this evening, with my girlfriend on a cruise and boredom in my body, I decided to try and use Photoshop to see what I could salvage. I scoured the net for headshots of Jarvis to get a good picture of his eyes at about the same size or at least re-sizable. After finding that I spend a long time rotating the cropped eyes to get the exact angle Jarvis' head is at in my picture. Once that is complete, I insert the opened eyes over the closed ones and begin erasing around the edge only to find that's making the picture worse. I then go back and decide to burn (darken) the eyes and skin around them to blend in and use a faded eraser to eliminate the discoloration. I think I'm done only to realize his left eye is squinting which just looks terrible with the photo so I copy the right eye, invert it and redo the process that way. Below you'll see the original useless photo and the one I'm proud to say is my current wallpaper. Check it out (and again, excuse my stupidity for not wearing sunblock the day before)...

Speaking of fan fair. Did Cutler eat another rude baby this year or is that bad for his Betus.

Jeez! Dude, instead of being bored, and screwing around with photoshop, go to the gym!
(on a side note, that is a great photoshop job, and that picture is sweet!)

Post your pic if you are going to call someone fat.

My body fat is around 9%, I played football for 10 years - I'm not too worried about it.

I was going to say you didn't look like you're fat from that picture because you have me by quite a few pounds and I am a lot fatter than you!

Yeah it's mostly muscle although if I lost 5-10 lbs. I'd probably be really cut.
