Since there has been a lot of posts recently dealing with the past (best RB's WR's etc) and there is noting going on in the News what are some of your favorite Broncos Memories. I'm sure this thread has been done before but its fun.

1. For me I remember going to my first game with my Dad when I was 7 or 8, we played the Cowboys. I don't know who won, but do remember asking my Dad where Johnny was and then yelling go Go Elway. My Dad has since told me all I did for the most part was cheer for Elway regardless of if we were on offense or defense or in a commercial break. The upper deck at Mile High was steep and remember my Dad helping me up the stairs.

2. Going to school the day of the Broncos Super Bowl parade to find almost no one there. And my Dad taking my Brother and I out of 2nd period to go to the parade. Seeing the Broncos on fire trucks, watching a lot of the ceremony from the Capital's viewing deck, learning later more people showed up for that then the Pope on World Youth Day.

3. We were raising money for my little league team to go to the little league championships in Vegas at Broncos games. We would get there way early and try to collect donations. At one point John Elway arrived for the game and was flocked with fans walking into the stadium. He was like a giant to me at that age. And since I haven't seen him since then he still is to me. This one ranks because for any kid to get to shake the hand of someone who has a mythical greatness to them is amazing. I've been in the oval office with the President, but was more mystified by Elway.

4. The same year after trying to raise money getting tickets in the South Stands to a Faders game, and someone yelling **** the Raiders!! And their wife (I guess) telling him to behave because their are kids in front of him. At which point my dad turned around and said, "don't worry about it, **** the ****ing Raiders"

5. Seeing TD get to 2,000 yards in one season from the South Stands.

6. My parents won a dinner with Mark Schlereth at a silent auction, taking the Varsity offensive line via limo to a dinner with the big stink. Hell of a nice guy.

We have had these threads before but I will bite

My Favorite Bronco memory that I can think of now was walking through the 1st of Denver Bank with my dad while he worked as a Security guard on weekends (12 hour shift!) on Sunday evenings listening to Floyd Little's exploits on the portable radio as we did his rounds. I loved the evening there the best, something about being in a dark business office as the light faded.

The camera room was cool with all the buttons but that got old for a kid. Those guards had it pretty good back then, at least on Sunday's. Not sure what Saturday was like.

I still have a few Bronco bucks from the 1975 season.

good thread.

i first started watching the bronco's at my dad's declaration "i am going to watch the bronco's this year." my old man was not much a sports guy and at this point i really hadn't watched much football myself. i was maybe 4yrs old. i remember the child like excitment of being able to watch football with my dad. i was eager to take on this new venture with him.

one of the more fond memmories i have was when the old man and i, along with a few other siblings were watching a playoff game. we were watching the first cleveland game "the drive." i remember Elway getting the ball on the 2 and just knowing he had "it." he scrambled, completed passes and finally found mark jackson to tie the game. my old man got so excited he jumped from his seat, hands over his heads, cheering and nearly busting the light fixture just above him. it was classic! i'll never forget that moment.

I remember my first game...vs. Seattle. Last year of the old Mile High.

Most memorable was that playoff game against the Pats. The atmosphere of a playoff game was just awesome.

Do you remember what happened the next morning?

How about the time Griese tripped over his dog and Jake broke his foot getting off his couch?

And then he went on a streak of McDonalds commercials.

When we beat the Oilers, forget what year it was.

Oiler players were mocking Elway on the sideline.

Just when it looked like we were going to lose, bam! John leads us to a win.

I have never felt better about a win except for the super bowls I guess.

Yep! I was sitting dead ass drunk on a bar stool in Bara de Navidad, Mexico singing "We are the Champions" at the top of my lungs! It was a long time coming.

January 29, 1998. A date that will live in infamy, everything else is just a distant memory compared to the defining moment in Broncos history!!!

Champ Bailey picking off Brady and returning it the entire field, and then watching the refs make the wrong, but just, call. In all honesty, I haven't been a Broncos fan for long, so that one is right up there.

The superbowls were nice and helped validate all those years of supporting the team but all my favorite Bronco memories are the obscure games that are linked to other events going on in my life.

My Mom really is the reason I am a Bronco fan, when she was pregnant with my Brother she got hooked laying around and watching the Bronco games. I would watch with her and really got into it. Up until that I would sort of watch them but I really fell in love with them that year.

My 1st game at MH with my brother, going with my Dad finally (we couldn't afford to go when we lived there), Taking the wife the 1st time...

But the next day wasnt so great, but it will always be memorable.
My first memory is my Dad sitting down with me on Sunday and telling me, "This is our Team, The Denver Broncos!" Good time to say that in 1977. Others are being at the two Super Bowl wins, my first game in Denver vs Saints in 1994 (?). Christmas Eve game and bought a ticket outside during 1st quarter before I would head to Stapleton to get back home. I always will have memories of being at OMane weekends and Mile High West in San Diego.

Great date! Interestingly, just yesterday I was in a thrift store and found two mugs with the Super Bowl XXXIII logo with the date and where the SB was played. Didn't have either the Broncos' or Falcons' logo.

Very nice mugs with gold rim and in the original box. I figured they are a reminder of a good experience so I parted with $3 to become the proud owner. LOL
