It's important to note where this Ad will run...
Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Virginia.
Methinks he's testing the waters in a few of those 'red' states to see if the polls move. If Obama can make McCain defend his base states, the old man is in a lot of trouble.

actually I could care less I'm very liberal. The only issue IMO is that social security would be effected because more people would be passing on benefits. Because that system never intended men to marry each other, and men usually make more money, it could be a burden on the system. Other then that marry who you want i could care less.
I hope you and your boyfriend are very happy together.

Other then that marry who you want i could care less.

When your married and one spouse dies the remaining spouse gets whatever social security payment is higher.
On men making more money I don't have numbers handy but I'm pretty sure that's common knowledge. That gap is closing but right now I'm pretty confident the numbers would say men make more then women on avg.

Since you are such a hard working American I will comply. My next 10 posts will all be at the highest level of tact, taste, and political correctness.
And then how about you go 10 posts without saying a curse word or telling a story about how you almost beat some poor soul in a fit of rage.

That gap is closing but right now I'm pretty confident the numbers would say men make more then women on avg.So you're saying men make more money thus pay more money into SS? Men also live considerably less lifespans than women so women draw SS considerably longer than men do so exactly how does the gay marriage SS math work again?

Yes but Lesbians can marry also. The point I was making is that people will choose the spouses higher social security upon one spouse dying. The fact we let gays, lesbians marry it will cost SS some money IMO. Still like I said I could really care less.

:loopy: This has to be the worst line of thinking that I have seen expressed in quite some time. Fuggin confused closet gay basher. You contradict yourself when you talk about how gay marriage would effect SSI benefits.
Just come out and say you're against gay marriage. Aren't you a supporter of the strait talk express. ( I can't wait for the debates to start. As soon as McShame comes out against Gay & Lesbian marriage McShame will have to drop that Strait Talk express line! )

And your "I could really care less" BS is pretty stupid since you posted this crap in the first place.

It wouldn't save money. Some stupid argument about men dying before women? that has nothing to do with it. When a spouse dies you get the higher benefit. If 2 men marry and one dies the survivor would take the higher benefit. What does when women die compared to men have anything to do with that?
Not to mention pensions also carry over for legally married people. There was a case in the congress where when an openly gay congressman died his partner who he was married to, but not recognized by fed govt, was denied his 100 grand a yr plus pension.
I'm not arguing that a person should not have the right to pass his pension to a same sex partner, I'm just saying it will cost more money.
It could potentially raise a ton of revenue in the marraige biz. But when you add insurance, pensions, Social Security to the mix there is no arguing it will cost money.

How did I contradict myself? Why would I come out and say I'm against something I'm not? Why would I hold back? I don't hold back. I have always stated exactly how I feel and have never cared what people think about me.
I don't care if gays can marry it doesn't matter to me. I'm not religious so what do i care? I can still say I think its abnormal but the world is full of abnormalities so gays and lesbians shouldnt be singled out. We let swingers marry and that flys in the face of traditional marriage just as much.

If 2 men marry and one dies the survivor would take the higher benefit. What does when women die compared to men have anything to do with that?Uh, real simple, try and follow along, women live much longer than men so knowing that, who is going to draw benefits longer, a man or a woman?

I just want to see your numbers that support this homophobic position.
How did I contradict myself? I can still say I think its abnormal but the world is full of abnormalities so gays and lesbians shouldnt be singled out. And that's exactly what you have done in this thread!
