gives a good look at how far he has progressed. Parts of interview from camp most of you have probably seen, but shows him flexing his hands, etc.
under the broncos tab.

Another note- Peyton Hillis (48) is jacked. Maybe Shanahan found his Howard Griffith v2.0
Let the diagnoses begin.

thought for sure some of you would have made an observation or two based on the video

now that denver has a true FB(if he makes the roster) i would bet that RB production goes up. Not only that but Jay will also have a few more TD passes.
Hillis is going to help the running game by being a good lead blocker and occasional carrier who can push the pile and help the team get tough yards in the red zone and at the goalline.
he will also be a great checkdown for Jay to have for the next few years
BRANDON MARSHALL WILL BE FINE BY TRAINING CAMP

Thanks for posting this. He looks good. A few times you see him grip and toss the football with his right hand. Catches the ball.
Nice job editing out the "wipe my butt with my left hand" part NFLN ;)

Watch him make that catch 55 seconds in from Jay... he looks GREAT! Almost like nothing ever happened. Hilarious!

noticed that they edited that part out too. lol.
considering the fact that he is only 3 months removed from wrappergate, seems to me that he is on his way to a solid recovery. You can tell it looks a little stiff, or maybe he doesn;t have full sensation back, but he is able to use it rather well, from the looks of the vid.

When I was younger, I got out of a cast after 6 weeks (broken wrist) and my wrist was a little stiff at first... he'll be fine.

The video shows nothing, and merely restates he is not ready to catch a true fastball from JC; however, he feels he is on track to get there. The video shows nothing that would give rise to concern, but it also doesn't show anything suggesting he is ready to play. There has not been one video of him catching a hard ball from JC, and I doubt there has been a hardball thrown by JC. BM is still recuperating, and seems to be doing well. But lets be honest, we still don't know to what degree he has healed, or will heal by mid-season for that matter..

shows nothing? shows him flexing his hand, shows him using both hands in tandem as he prepares to catch the ball, shows that he is able to grasp with his fingers. I would say that is at least something. He is ahead of schedule based on the initial timeline put forth by the team doctors, and this is visible proof of that fact, imo
He definitely isn't ready for primetime, or a JayC fastball, but this gives me hope that he eventually will be..

I have to agree, not much there other than he feels he ahead of schedule...which is good but hardly illuminating.

That's right! That's what I said! In fact I personally promised everyone he won't be ready! Then I said I hope he's not ready and I want him dead by next Wednesday! Yeah!;) ^5

This of course means you want his arm to fall off. See either you believe he'll heal extremely quickly or you want his arm to fall off, Hogan. There is no middle ground. You either hope for the best or wish for the worst so you can "be right" about it. Duh!:dummy:

Hell, fully healthy players need an adjustment period to get used to a ball being thrown as hard as Jay throws.

Probably not...considering the last one got curb-stomped.

I'd disagree. First and foremost, he makes the statement that he is doing everything he used to do with his right hand, rather important because things like writing wouldn't be possible if the extreme nerve damage some here predict had occurred.
Second, at one point in the video he flips a football with his right hand and gets a pretty good spiral on it. Nothing big but it shows that his wrist and fingers have regained most if not all of their original range of motion, and enough touch sensitivity to give spin to an object.
Its not nearly enough to believe he'll be 100% by the beginning of season, but there is also nothing to suggest otherwise.
Personally I think the extent of his injury has been blown grossly out of proportion and that the damage to ligaments and nerves was much less severe that the media portrays it. If it was truly so severe as to be career threatening he'd still be showing more significant signs of damage and we'd be talking about physical therapy beginning shortly, not him already catching lighter passes and looking to begin rigorous hand strengthening in the near future.
The only real threat to Marshall's career is himself and the level of commitment he's going to make to football. If fully dedicated he could be great, but if not he'll fade like so many one year wonders once the league makes adjustments.
