He said he was pleased with all the negative comments posted here. Just kidding, I didn't tell him that stuff. Nobody wants to hear it. He said he was excited for the season and that the Broncos will be great upfront with all the new additions and team vets. We mainly talked about fishing, but anyway. Thought I share it with you.

Yes, but did he tell you that he thinks the LaDamion Tomlinson "unaction" figure of him sitting on the bench is his favorite piece of all time? BTW: Did you ask him if he goes to websites like this?

Cool! I met Jeff Garcia back in the day when he was a Stampeder...But that's about it.

We did not talk about action figures or any websites.

LOL. I wanted to ask him about his shoulder and his new contract, but I didn't want to be that guy.

I love stories about people/fans meeting athletes.

Back in the spring of 1988 (April), I was a freshman in high school.....and I went to Disney with the folks.

At the time they were having the 1st Annual Goofy Games, and there were TONS of professional athletes, there taking part....all staying at our hotel. I saw Hershel Walker, Don Mattingly, Big John Stud, and many more.

And in the lobby I shook hands with Dexter Manley....of course Washington had just beaten Denver in the Superbowl 3 months earlier. I told him I was a Bronco fan, and he just laughed.

Did you see Popps try to murder him?

No. I think my head went up to his knee.

Ya I bet. He may not be the most talented player , but he brings it on every play 110%. Thats probably why he's been around so long w/ Shanahan is his work ethic, not to mention our d-line talent pool hasn't been too deep.

Did you see Popps try to murder him?

I just imagined a very Road-Runner, Wile E. Coyote-esque scene involving Popps and Engelberger.

BroncoBuff

I wouldda given him Popps' e-mail address and told him all the stuff he says.

I did not, but then again Popps couldn't get his hands out of his straight jacket.

That's what I like about him. I would rather lose with guys like Engelberger than guys that don't give it all out there.

So you, a normal average person, were able to slow him down long enough to have a conversation about fishing?

Damn I'm worried about our Dline.

Its fun running in to players. Me and my buddy crashed a private party at the irish bar at New York New York in Las Vegas one time and it turned out to be a Green bay Packers party! It was freaking wild. We met Marco Rivera, his brother, William henderson, Crosby, Grant. Logan Mankins was also there. I can't remember the rest because tell you the truth I was smashed. But you know when watching these guys they are big dudes, but they are pretty intimidating in person. Fun part was my buddy is a huge Chicago Bears fan and he was wearing his hat at the party. I thought for sure we were done for!

Did you tell him he should switch positions to TE because his MADDEN rating is higher at TE than DE?
