Steelers are rated WAY too high and the Texans are too low--84 is just about right for the Broncos IMHO

I was fine until i got to Minnisota being a 90. Thats just utter crap. Yes, their running game is great but their Qb play has a lot to be desired and they werent that much better than us especially considering we still beat them.

The operation sport site has the first ratings up. Royal has 97 speed and 97 agility. He going to be sick with Marshall - 95 overall on the other side.

there defense will be a top 3 in the NFL, and their running game a top 3 as well. those make up for ****ty QB play. this is more of a projection then how good they are.

Good to hear that Marshall is getting some respect.. but honestly, who cares. Madden has been crap ever since it came to the 360/PS3. It's just awful. If i'm 10 years old, then i love it. Then i love that there is no skill involved and it is full of one handed grabs and other crazy unlikely plays that occur... every other play. I always defended madden against the 2K people but the 2nd generation of madden is unplayable. This is where a lack of competition hurts you big time. Screw madden. When newbies can come in and compete with the big dogs you have problems.

They did the same thing with Halo 3. Great to look at, horrible competition-wise.

Long live Madden '06 and Halo 2.

I love Unreal. I played the new Unreal III and a friend invited me over to play Halo. I had never touched Halo before. Holy **** is it a slow and dull game. It's not exciting at all.

The Bucs might be slightly better than I would expect, but they were a better team than people give them credit for.

Put me on the list of people not giving them enough credit. The only reason they made the playoffs last year was because they had an easy schedule, and they lost in the first round.

91 seems a bit high to me, it should be in the mid eighties.

this by far the least interested i've been in a new madden game. they have been awful since the next gen systems and am pretty sure there is no way they've had enough time to make any significant improvements.. Really they need to take 3 years off and redo the whole game.

Madden 06 is the last one I bought and I thought it was crap. If the newer versions are worse I can't even begin to imagine how crappy they must be.

A lot of good games seem to do this. NBA 2k7 was an awesome basketball game, maybe the best I've ever played. BUt 2k8 comes a long and all of sudden anyone with a good 3 rating can hit a shot no matter how well covered he is. It became impossible to intercept passes, etc.

I think EA and 2K just need to come to an agreement. EA you give up the football rights and 2K you give up the baseball rights. Or better yet, join forces. You'll get the visuals of 2K with the roster accuracy/management expertise of EA. I know that EA gets some ratings wrong but never to the extent of any other company.

I used call of duty as a "filler" for any slower paced realistic FPS, que- Counterstrike, Rainbow Six, Medal of Honor etc. Because CoD is the benchmark of the time now.

It can get pretty bad..you would think on the PS3/360 they'd fix glitches in games and make the guys you aren't controling smarter but so far they haven't, like when a guy pick 3 different plays the whole game the computer isn't smart enough to figure out hes ran that play 20 freaking times. In 08 there are far to many injuries and fumbles and yes the one handed grabs are really unrealistic. All i ask for is a game that is realistic to the real deal..evidentally we're asking to much!!

I Finally bought Madden 08 on PS3 after playing Madden's 03-08 on PS2.
I have to say that the game was a complete disappointment. The game plays pretty bad. Control and all. No formation audibles???WTF! Changing defensive assignments are a pain in the ass too. Why didn't they just take after the PS2 game for this? Much easier to take control of your team there on offense and defense. I've played 4 games so far and the game is barely playable. How in the hell did this game get such good scores on reviews? Some people don't want to get fired I guess. This has to be one of the worst, if not worst sports games ever made with a sports license. I'm not even talking about all the glitches and bugs. EA has gone backwards. Ugh! I'm gonna puke!

I have 09 reserved right now. I'm considering pulling out the reservation. I remember when EA put out 03 on PS2. It was a real turning point for the next
gen at the time. From what I've been reading on sites, it sounds like this could be a real step up from the crap thats been out the last 2 years on 360/PS3. If I buy it and its the same crap, I will take 'er back and get the PS2 game. I read on a couple of sites after 08 came out that next gener's were taking back their copies to get current gen ones. Thats how bad the franchise has become.....

I was in the same boat, I was a big supporter of EA and Madden against 2k, still think that neither game is better than the other and hate the talk how 2k5 was the best game ever because it wasn't, but my god '06-'08 on next gen has been dreadful.
I mean, just a couple things from franchise mode last year:
Every single QB on a CPU controlled team would throw less than 10 interceptions and have a QB rating above 90.
Every interception a defensive player made, would count as 2 on the stats. So, say you sim a season, and half of the games Champ gets a pick, well, he would have 16 at the end of the season instead of the 8 he should have. This bug has been in EVERY VERSION OF NEXT GEN GAMES!
A free agency bug/glitch that would make free agents disappear, making no free agents in the pool and teams unable to sign players to fill voids, meaning franchise would be unplayable.

Oh great fun EA.
