I'm hoping some handymen can give some advice.

I am looking to build a 6 - 6. 5 ft hard surfboard case. I would buy one, but i couldn't find many, and the ones i found were about $300 - $350 after shipping. Does anyone know any types of objects out there i could cut (plastic) and bind everything together and have it sturdy? I need to ship 1 or 2 boards to Japan and i don't feel like having my boards snapped in half during the trip.

Any advice is welcome.

This is one i was looking at. If i make one, i don't expect it to be like this, but i just want some good protection for the board(s).

No way. Granted if the Surfboard gets ruined, they (military) will replace it.
