Stories like this really disappoint me in cops. I'd bring my 2 year old to the sidewalk to point and laugh at this man. Who are they protecting?

Any halfassed lawyer will get those charges dropped.
One time I was almost arrested for DUI while I was riding my bike. When I pointed out to the cops that a DUI is a motor vehicle violation, they impounded my bike and made me walk home. Cops suck.

They are probably protecting this man from himself. I would be afraid that somebody wouldn't see the drunk fool and run him over. But it is just a little goofy.

No, had it been me I would have tasered him and publically humiliated him before I arrrested him. This guy got off easy. :unamused:

More than likely that is the case, but I don't think it was worth it to hit him with a DUI. Maybe throw his ass in the drunk tank for the night and then send him on his way when he was sober.

That thing can only carry 400 pounds of liquor so fat boy is off limits. He does own one and pulls it through Arrowhead parking lot passing out free beer so someone would listen to his plagerized forum letters he writes.

It would be pretty funny to see someone driving one of these around with multiple coolers attached at a tailgater lot. ROFL!
Hmm... I wonder if this would pull the wife, kids AND BEER!!!!!!

I hear a DUI/ DWI can apply to anything on wheels- skateboard, bicycle, razor scooter, so this story on the cooler dude doesn't surprise me

That happened to my brother in law, too, except he did actually get arrested. There is a fine line between protecting you from others and protecting you from yourself. I dont want the damn govt protecting me from myself! That, my friends, is a slippery slide done the police state slope.
Of course, its a lot easier to bust some drunk dude on a cooler than going into the hood and bringing out some honest to God criminal hood rats. Besides, there is revenue and getting someone for a DWI. There is no revenue and putting some murderer behind bars.
