I met Bo several years back at a blues show.

Was always a big fan of his music.

Mona, I'm a man, Who do you love...with his home made guitar.

RIP Bo, you were great.

The man was GREAT. I had the pleasure of "hanging out" with Bo a few times back home in PA. He made a great fried chicken dinner too!

Rest in peace. 8')

Tragic...I almost went to see him a couple of times but balked at the very high ticket price. Loved his stuff and will miss him big time.

I have his greatest hits off the Chess label.

Also, hunted down some old 45's of his.

All the greats are slipping away. One of foundations upon which rock and roll was built. RIP

Yes, I know blues like the back of my hand.

Dave "honey boy" Edwards is one the last delta bluesmen.

But most of the greats you speak of are already gone.

He wasn't one of my favorites because I like horns in my blues music like BB King and Albert Collins etc do but nevertheless a huge loss to electric blues/rock guitar.

Honey Boy is what like 93 now? Dude played with Robert Johnson and is a history lesson in Mississippi Blues. Great to hear some other Cali boys are still into the blues. The guitar player in my band just got a chance to sit in with Cory Stevens the other weekend. We were just talking about Honey Boy with him and Cory was saying how amazing he still can play.

Yeah, he is up there in age, I have have his complete recordings.

I like his attitude towards the world "this world don't owe me a thing"

I remember him telling stories about Son House and Charley Patton.

Back in 1986, Bo toured with Ron Wood and caught their show at my Alma Mater -- University of Delaware -- at the Stone Balloon, nightclub.

Great show. They played Honky Tonk Women, among other songs . . .

He will be missed!

I loved him, the beat, the rawness and the humor....anyone who's ever heard "Say Man" knows what I'm talking about.

"Road Runner" was about my fave tune of his

Apparently, he was somewhat bitter (listening to live interviews with him from over the years on XM yesterday) about his "rhythm" being stolen by other musicians through the years.

Is Bo Hopkins still alive? That guys was a great TV actor back in the 70's and80's. I imagine he is pretty old by now.
