I can probably count 20 glitches, errors, and just plain unrealistic stuff on every game I play.

We usually joke about the game getting a virus every time that kind of stuff happens.

But hey, that's just how I see it. I'm not wasting my money on Madden or EA products anymore, so I don't have a gamertag.

It baffles my mind to see the same stuff year after year. From 2003 to 2006 was the worst IMO. Always the same stuff.

BTW I'm not trying to make you angry or anything, it's just my opinion. ESPN 2k5 was much more enjoyable and realistic IMO. That game's running game was exactly what I expected Madden's to be... until I gave up hope and just stopped playing altogether.

Im not a big fan of the AI pass rush and secondary coverage ability.

I can only do one thing at a time, which usually ends up being controlling a blitzer or pass rushing with a dlinemen b/c Madden AI pass rush is non existent. and the secondary AI is just stupid. They allow completions which just would not happen in a real NFL game.

MADDEN SKILLS? You have to be ****ing kidding me son. Madden skills are who can line TO up in the slot and WR Screen/Pass to him because NO DEFENDERS WILL RUN TO TACKLE THE BALL CARRIER. Knowing how to exploit in madden is the only way people win anymore. Madden is so worthless I want to pull my hair out every time i see Plaxico Burress jump 30 feet in the air to make a catch Bailey was in perfect position for.

NCAA 08 is a GREAT game in my opinion. Don't know where you get this trick play thing. I'm still playing that game.

The worst things about Madden are all of the bugs, although the big hits were way out of control, too. My horor story with 08 is I was at the end of season 4 and the game locked up and never let me advance to season 5. I probably won't be buying it this year unless I hear really good things.

NCAA is a better game than madden. It plays more realistic and the players actually look at the ball which is something Madden took years to get. I hate EA as much as the next man, but I've always enjoyed their college game more than their pro one.

They tweak graphics, keep the same playbooks and AI and you can exploit the hell out of the stupid D. Champ can be picked on all day long by any receiver with high speed and nothing else or human players can line up 9 on the line in zero coverage and your OL can't toss a "Red call" block to save their lives to give you the 1.5 seconds to toss the swing pass or even get the ball away. Off it. On COD4 and loving it.

I've been playing lots of COD lately too. I tried to put GoW in the other day, and just isn't the same. COD is amazing, but its getting a little easy now (when you have red tiger on your M40 and M21 by lvl 35, it's obviously just not fair lol)

That is early gameplay video from a new football game coming out for the 360 called Backbreaker. Its all simulation using Euphoria's Natural Motion so theres no canned animations and two tackles are ever the same. I know its a bit over the top, but this is the direction football games need to go. Give this platform an NFL license and I might actually play video game football again.

I will continue to buy Madden, year in and year out, because I love the expierence. I probably spend more time playing the Franchise mode part(Trades, FA, Draft, Etc.) than the actual football gameplay. As such, having the most up-to-date rosters and ratings is far more important to me than the MINISCULE difference between 2K and Madden. Simple as that.

Oh, yeah, and this year's Madden Collector's Edition will include Head Coach '09, which, even if the actual Madden 09 was the most horrifically terrible video game ever, would make me buy it.

Look, I'd love to bring my idealism with me to the video game store...But I honestly don't care enough. The difference between Madden and 2K5 is not worth the effort. It really, really isn't. When you play Madden as much as me(or NHL 08, for that matter), you just grow to accept the ****ty aspects. Sure, I sound despondent and all, but for all it's flaws, for all it's backwards steps and it's monolithic creator that draining the video game industry of creativity, I still have a good time playing it. That's all I can ask for.

I had to reply one more time.... Y'all think I'm biased about Madden since I worked there. But the fact of the matter is even when there was Take Two competition, Madden still crushed in sales. If Madden sucked so bad when there WAS competition, then why were people still buying it more than 2K sports? I personally bought both games, cause I'm addicted to everything that is football. Madden simply was more fun to play, even if the graphics were a little better in 2K.

I still don't see how someone can defend 2K as being a better game. Just because now they feel cheated by Madden bugs and anomalies in releases thereafter doesn't mean you can justify 2K as ever being "better". I agree some Madden bugs are fonecoing annoying, but I dare you to show me an application without any. It's literally impossible, and if you don't think so, show me the code, I promise you I can break it.
