Wrigley Field?
I was kinda hoping it was Denver to be the host site but I guess its a 50/50 crapshoot with the weather in Denver.

Just curious, if Wrigley field were to hold the hockey game. What is the capacity ballpark figure that we could be looking at?

Hmm well I was a bit puzzled as to why the NHL would put it in Wrigley when they could put it in a bigger venue like Soldier field which would put 20,000 more fans in attendance. Wrigley is a historic landmark, I understand the publicity factor. Still...

By then it will be: Wrigley Field, home of the 2008 World Champions! :thanku:

I think Soldier Field is out of the running due to the possibility of the Bears being in the playoffs....

Good point. Love the idea of the outdoor game again as it was a huge success last season. Ingredients: Add cold weather city, with 2 original (or long standing) NHL teams and one huge stadium to house it. Soldier field is historical also and holds a crap load more fans. What we will never see is this type of game in LA area and have the Kings vs the Ducks.

I just got Steve Bartman his ticket for the playoffs. Aint happening.......again. Plus, you would need to get through the Angels this year.

Poor choice of City, teams and venue.

They could...conceivably have a game up in Big Bear. It would have to be along the same lines of the movie "Mystery, Alaska" where they were able to build the stands around the ice.
Besides King fans have an annual event anyway, called the Frozen Fury in Las Vegas. Tons of King fans go there, it's bigger than "Mane Weekend."

It was either Yankee Stadium or Wrigley.

I am loving it, especially since the fact that a bud and I are going in on Season Tix this year.
I don't like the prospect of having to go to Wrigley as it is a nice place to watch a baseball game (if you have reserved seats in front of the pillars and it is 80 degrees) but sight lines for hockey will suck. Plus you have to piss in troughs and there is one exit everyone has to funnel through, there is NO parking, it will be too cold for chicks in the bleachers to flash their tits, Ronnie WOO WOO might show up, need any more cons?
Comiskey would be better for sight lines as would SoliderS field. I think SoliderS is out because of issues with the City being the operator.
