He looks great! Gone are the droopy eyes with the dark bags. His neck is more full and he seems more spry. He said all his throws are back and he can tell his strength is returned from what had faded late last year.
It really was a good bit. I was excited about what a glowing review he gave Royal. Sounds like the kid has the goods. Says he was shocked at how good his hands were and that he's picking the offense up well.
Marshall also shows up interrupting the interview and says "this guy isn't my favorite person right now" and then laughs and walks off. At least they are on good terms enough to joke about it.

This dude's our future - I dig it. He handles everything so well, I love how he put that reporter in his place without being a jerk for repeating a question. It looks like he and BMarsh really are tight, I hope our two franchise players are offensive (hopefully three with Clady) form a dynamic duo for years to come.

Not my cup of Tea, she is ok.
Anyway, Jay is my Hero, this guy takes the good and the bad with grace. He handles the media, the players, and does it like it is nothing.:notworthy
Jay and Brandon are cool, Brandon is fine. We are doing a great job of drafting. If only Clady and Royal contribute this year, it is a successful draft, but I see more players contributing this year one way or another. I am already very excited, I am working my way up into a frenzy.

Jay is showing signs of being the franchise leader that we need now that old Rod is done.
Even the recent quotes by Champ show how guys really respect him
Barring injuries, Im really excited to see what he and a very healthy Broncos offense can do in 2008.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.-- Wednesday may mark the beginning of the end of the week for many people, but for the Denver Broncos, it's just another day of quarterback camp. As preparation for the 2008 season continued at Dove Valley, the focus was on quarterback Jay Cutler, who spoke to the media for the first time this minicamp. And though everyone on the team has pledged support to and belief in their quarterback, reporters wanted to hear first-hand from the quarterback on how he is handling and managing his Type 1 diabetes.
"The first couple of weeks, it was hard, but now it’s just part of what I do," Cutler said. "I feel fine. My levels are pretty steady right now. I don’t get really high or low. It has been a good dry run. I don’t really anticipate any problems in the future. It just feels good to be back to my old self, and I’m happy to be out here."
Everything he has shown on the field mirrors his words, as he has gained back the weight he lost and has performed well in the first six days of camp. With the offseason departure of offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger to the Tennessee Titans, Cutler now focuses his attention on learning and installing the new offense.
"It’s going well. We’ve put a lot of stuff in," said Cutler. "Right now we’re doing a lot of basic stuff, just getting a feel for the new guys and just getting a feel for the formations and the calls in the huddle and where to line up. I feel we’ve had a good week so far. "
One of the most important things for a quarterback to have is chemistry with his receivers, and with 12 receivers currently on the roster, Cutler has his work cut out for him. The Broncos selected wide receiver Eddie Royal from Virginia Tech in the second round of this year's draft while also signing free agents Keary Colbert, Darrell Jackson and Samie Parker. Though he has yet to spend a significant amount of time with his new teammates, Cutler likes everything he has seen thus far.
"I’m really happy. They’ve done extremely well. They’re catching the ball well, learning the offense, running the right routes. I’m thrilled," he said. "I couldn’t be happier."
He has already built some on-field rapport with his new targets, connecting with each of the new wideouts during Wednesday's practice. He has been especially impressed with Royal, his newest and youngest weapon. At 5-foot-10, 184 pounds, the 22-year-old Royal has displayed shiftiness, speed and good hands, all of which have impressed his quarterback.
"He looks good. He has good speed, gets in and out of his breaks really good," Cutler said of Royal. "I also noticed his hands. I didn’t know he had such good hands. I haven’t seen him drop any balls. He has a good attitude and has adjusted pretty quickly."
With the return of Brandon Marshall from injury in the next few months, Cutler will be able to add his favorite weapon to what looks to be an extremely potent passing attack in 2008.
"This is the best receiving corps we’ve had since I’ve been here, especially when we get Brandon back," Cutler said. "He’s coming along everyday, better and better. We’re excited to get him back, and hopefully it’s sooner rather than later."
The Broncos also welcomed another new teammate to Dove Valley Wednesday, 11th year veteran running back Michael Pittman. Though they only spent a couple of hours on the field together, Pittman stood out for at least one reason: his massive biceps.
"They’re very hard to miss, especially when he rolls his shirt up. There are a few people that have commented on them so far," said Cutler. "He’s another weapon, and we’re getting more and more each day. He’s going to come in and help us out here."

I know we've seen this before: Rookie receivers lighting it up in OTA's only to disappear and play some occasional special teams in the Regular season. However, the most recent version, Marshall, really did emerge as a legit player. I think expecting Royal to offer some value as a third receiver is not a reach for a rookie.

I'm hoping for a Darius Watts with good hands from Eddie Royal
