some people shouldnt be parents ........ I say prosecute his sorry ass to the fullest extent of the law , no mercy ....But there is no way to give that girl her life back .......

absolutely agree, and he should spend each second of that time served in whatever hole they have available in the prison

theres that movie, Count of Monte Cristo, where the guy spent 11 years in that cell, with absolutely no contact with anyone and no sunlight...thats where this guy should go.

never read the book the count of monte cristo, but the movie he was in jail for 13 years, and had contact with that old guy after like 7 years in jail, he went mad being alone and counting the bricks or stone on his wall.

I don't think there is a chance of that, I think that is proactive defense work on her attorney's part if I had to guess. Otherwise, she is as guilty as he is.
Hell I cannot hide 5 bucks from my wife, let alone a friggin' basement full of people

This story is ****ed up and insane on so many levels. Apparently he was very authoritarian, so his wife never questioned his command to not visit the basement, but you have to believe she knew something was up. I honestly didn't know humans could survive that long without sunlight.

Unless they get him for the "Failure to act" for the baby he burned the Max he can get is 15 years..granted at his age thats life but still seems very soft.

Let's turn that frown upside down. We all know that "crating" your dogs is a good thing. It teaches them obediance, good pack mentality, etc. Well, in authoritarian Austria, "crating" your kids does the same. Some may not know that this is a country where some restaurants will let dogs in but not small children. So treat your children like dogs and.....voila.
Also the sun can be harmful, and cause cancer, especially to delicate European skin, so keeping them safely inside should not be misconstrued.
Remember, this is a country that produced Hitler, I'm sure he was "crated" as a child too.

His wife had to know something was going on. 24 years and she had no clue? Who helped the guy deliver the babies? And then babies keep showing up on your doorstep from your daughter who ran away, and said don't look for me?

The latest, the police are investigating the father on an old unsolved murder that happened at a lake where...... his wife just happened to own an inn.
