"Woodhead, who is getting married in July, has been able to mix in a little golf with his workouts and wedding preparations as he waited for this weekend. He said he's not stressed out — he's just eager to know his final destination.
He has no favorite team in mind but said he's been a Denver Broncos fan since he was little.
"My favorite team," he said, "could quickly change."

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for players who are also Broncos fans (a la Mike Bell). Whaddaya say, use one of our 7th rounders on him or not?

I'd use one of our 7th rounders on him because he's a 4.38 burner with good elusivenesses and KR/PR experience. I don't care that he likes the Broncos, I care that he'd address a big need of ours (return guy) for cheap.

He played just up the road from here and I've read quite a bit about him. His size and the fact that he played at a small school will kill him in the draft, but this kid can flat out play. I'd like to see Denver spend a later round pick on him if they don't draft a Mendenhall or Stewart early. I guarantee he is good enough to make an nfl roster.

In all likelihood he's a UDFA, but I'd give him a shot. There are some skills there to work with.

I agree. Let's hope he doesn't get drafted and sign him immediately afterwards. He could be a Tim Dwight/Wes Welker type who are good at returning kicks/punts, as well as a 3rd-down possession receiver who gets lost in the crowd on the field.

If he is anything close to that he will be drafted period. Nice reach though

Well, Woodhead might have a better shot of being picked than I thought. It sounds like ESPN will be in his home this weekend. Maybe they know something we don't?

Mike Bell:
~220 pound power back who modeled his game after Terrell Davis and played at Arizona, a legitimate D1A program.
Danny Woodhead:
200 pounds if he's lucky scat back type who runs a 4.3 40, returns kicks and punts, and did great for lowly Chadron State, where he was the first scholarship player in school history.
Yes, they are so damned alike its eerie.

you took it waaayyy to far man.
I was talking as in the sense of not so talented players who were Broncos fans who sign with the Broncos as UDFAs simply because they were a Broncos fan.
but yea, i guess if you put it in those terms, there not alike at all, but no need for you to say it in such a sarcastic, negative manner unless your Mike Bell's agent or Mike Bell himself.

Actually, I think Woodhead is by far the more talented athlete and will have a pretty solid pro career. As a return specialist. If we don't take a return guy earlier he'd be a great pickup in the 7th round.
Mike Bell just doesn't have NFL level game. He would've been given a shot coming out of college period but if it wasn't in our system I doubt he could've made it through a training camp before being cut. He's not fast, he's not strong compared to other RBs his size, he has a bit of a fumbling problem now, and he isn't particularly agile or explosive through the hole. He's a solid D+ RB and there isn't any place on a roster for a D+ RB. He could be a pimp in the CFL though, I'm sure of that.
