I was looking at the top of the first round, especially the Chiefs..

It seems like they are trading Allen for the Vikes first rounder. So, that gives them lots of options, and may help us.

If they give up Allen, are they targeting Gholston? It would look that way, although they could also be shooting for Chris Long or Matt Ryan. They will be able to dip back into the first with the Viking pick and could get a decent pass rusher or OT at that spot.

So, who falls?

I think that the Raiders and Chiefs both go defense, taking Gholston and Long (either one to either team). That means OT's should be available. One of the other major players to watch - Darren McFadden. I know the Jets are a good landing spot, but maybe not.

It still could leave the opportunity for us to trade down with other teams (like Dallas) that might target McFadden.

We might be holding a few more cards come draft day. Just a thought...

My guess is they are targeting Gholston but they may still go with Oline as that is a desperate need for them.

Good thought...That extra 1st round pick lets them select a player of high value at their 1st pick, and not reach for a O-Lineman, which leaves more qualily OL for us to choose from. They still have the opportunity later in the 1st to snag their O-lineman, but after we have our choice of the top guy on our board. hmmm

Like the thought. If they go Gholston, that's one less team picking OL in front of us. Somebody's gotta fall.

Of course they could draft Ellis and I bet OT's go then and who knows about trade ups.

I think the Chiefs go Gholston. It would suck but I'd rather he be on the rebuilding Chiefs than on the Patriots. It would also suit them as Gholston would be another Derrick Thomas for them. I could see Long falling to New England which would suck. He would fit their mold of white, athletic linebackers. Please Jets: Don't take Mcfadden.

Really the point isn't especially about the OT's, it is about McFadden. We want him to fall so people start knocking at our door for the #12 spot.
