I'M NOT GONNA POST THE WHOLE THREAD(TOO LONG), BUT IF SOMEONE WANTS TO POST THE PICKS, THERE ARE SOME INTERSTING TRADES BETWEEN DAL AND DEN IN THE 1ST.

Interesting. I know BroncoBuff would love that first one with Denver taking Brooks and Dizon. lol

wow denver is active in this draft...I don't like the trade with buffalo, but overall we are getting some quality players.

Frankly I think there were too many trades proposed in that mock. Denver would have goven up too many goo d players. But I don't think there will be a trade down in this draft for Denver unless someone really wants Stewart or Mendenhall. Otherwise, I just don't see it happening.....
But I have never been right about the draft before.......

Yup, love the Durant Brooks pick. ;D
But even though Dizon is a Buff, he's even smaller than Ian Gold. And the mock has us selecting Beau Bell too...? :nono: LB is just not a position of need for us. Unless they want to draft a guy to replace DJ when his contract is up next year, we're all full up. Winborn, Green and Webster are a very capable and inexpensive backup trio.
And Round 1 is weird ... would we pass on Branden Albert to select Cherilus? I doubt it.

Good heavens.
If these mock drafts were to play out as these gentlemen predict they might, draft day will the best reality t-v spectacle no-one dreamed of.
...and you know what???...I hope it all happens just that way, fireworks from the opening gun...how great is that??

Figured you guys would dig this.
If DEN cant get the player they want in the 1st, i would hope a scenario like this plays out for them.
dont like all the players selected, but those extra high picks are what this team needs.
These were absolutely sweet trades for DEN
Denver gives #12, #42, and #118 overall for Dallas' #22, #28, and #61 overall.
Denver gives #28 for Buffalo's #41 and #90
Denver gives #41 for Philadelphia's #49 and #114
Denver has a conditional pick from Tampa Bay

As for Socal, dude would need smelling salts about 4 times on SAT alone!

Ok it's probably DaJuan Morgan, but it certainly isn't Kenny Phillips. I think Demps is the second best (FS).

this draft would bring great depth to our football team and I could foresee this being a 2006 esque impact draft if these moves and picks were to happen....

I don't like all the trading down. I am not to keen on the picks either. Unless we have a draft like 06, I don't see a reason to stockpile picks.
We need to elite players when and if possible. Drafting in bulk never works, unless you are a risk taker who gets lucky.
No team is perfect, everyone has holes. Elite players and planning help cover up holes.

I don't like it. I really don't think there is value trading a 1st round pick for a 2nd and a third.

The trade was a swap of 1st round picks w/Dallas and a late 2nd round pick- I'd take it for moving down 10 picks and procuring a RT in Cherilus who plays w/a mean streak...

Yeah, I like Demps too ... but "the best"? I'm actually much higher on Josh Barrett from Arizona State. I was comparing Barrett to Atwater a couple weeks before bap454's recent thread. This Saints mock had Barrett going about 5 or 6 picks ahead of Demps, so I understand ...
Khan, this draft has been so muddled for me by the recent signings of pairs of Safeties and WRs. All four of those guys (McRee, McDaniel, Jackson, Colbert) are definite keepers, so I dunno where we stand on drafting those positions. Here's my draft wish-list from a month ago. It holds up pretty wel now, even after we trade for Robertson. There's 8 guys here - and we have 9 picks now, plus 2 more for trading down from #12 - that's plenty to get Robertson and move up into the 3rd round for Bennett and Barrett:
http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/3263/91670874ia6.jpg
My mock obviously relies heavily on Harris and Hamilton playing well, plus Kuper moving to OT and playing well ... but I don't think these are impossible goals.

For everyone who is lazy and doesn't want to look through the whole thing:
Trades:
4 - Denver gives #12, #42, and #118 overall for Dallas' #22, #28, and #61 overall.
5 - Denver gives #28 for Buffalo's #41 and #90
8 - Denver gives #41 for Philadelphia's #49 and #114
(022) 22 Denver (4from Dallas (from Cleveland)) - OT Gosder Cherilus, Boston College
(049) 18 Den (8from Phi) - DT Dre Moore, Maryland
(061) 30 Den (4from Dal) - WR Earl Bennett, Vanderbilt
(090) 27 Denver (5from buf (3from chi (from sd))) S Quintin Demps - UTEP
(108) 9 Den - RB Tashard Choice, Georgia Tech
(115) 16 Den (8from Phi) - LB Beau Bell, UNLV
(139) 4 Den (from oak) - LB Jordan Dizon, Colorado
(148) 14 Den - C Steve Justice - Wake Forest
(183) 17 Den (from hou) - P Durant Brooks, Georgia Tech
(220) 13 Den - S Corey Lynch, Appalachian State
God... I LOVE this draft. The only guy on my wish list who isn't on here is Chris Johnson from ECU. We pick up a TON of depth at every position of need except for DT (but I think that they're all a crapshoot in this draft anyway) and KR, but you can only do so much with a limited amount of picks.

Gosder Cherilus is a RT and a RT only, I can't believe (and would hate it if) we go Cherilus if Branden Albert is still on the board ... he is a monster.
But then again, in the past week there seems to be some 'correction' against Albert's rapid acsention up the boards. He was a late 1st/early 2nd rank three months ago, but over the past month he's climbed as high as #5 to KC in mocks. So who knows? ???
I think I'd rather have Albert than any of the O-Linemen other than Jake long.

Funniest part is that it wasn't even over a month. More like 2 weeks. Just skyrocketed. I don't get it either. ???

I would have chosen differently but the trade with Dallas is a dream move we can only hope for. I like most of the late first round and early second round talent better than the 12 slot.

Let me get this stupid crap strait. Denver makes not one, not two but THREE trade downs and picks up ONE EXTRA PICK IN THE WHOLE DRAFT.
Denver goes from having 9 picks to having 10 picks with three fricken trade-downs?
Assinine.

Unless I'm wrong, Denver gives away 50 points of draft value in these trades. That's a 4th round pick right there!

But, in defense of the moves, they save a boatload of money and don't overpay for a guy at #12 that they don't think is worth it. They get higher and better picks in the rounds of "value" and pick up more players at positions of need.

I guess I see your point. It just seems like alot of work to pick up one extra pick.
I think the first trade with Dallas is great, fantastic, awesome. However, every trade after that is not so good.

They only show one 7th on that list, so I think these trades would actually give them 2 extra picks. Considering those picks would be in rounds 2 and 3, that's not bad.
