the player had to have been cut from one team for being viewed as not good enough, then signed by another team and must have had multiple pro bowl appearances afterward, any position. my brain isnt functioning well now so i cant think of a specific example, any help?

Ed McCaffrey! Played with the Giants and Niners and then became a total badass for Denver. Got 2 rings pro bowl berth and was part of one of the only tandem of WR(with Rod) to catch 100 or more passes in a single season

Cris Carter was cut by the Eagles before becoming an All-Pro with the Vikings.

awesome example, but he was cut for off the field issues, it would be like us cutting brandon marshall now, definitely not because hes not capable...

Ah, too true. Here (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=easterbrook/080122&sportCat=nfl)'s a list of "Unwanted All-Pros" from Gregg Easterbrook. Hope you find something you can use.

Does Favre count? Or did the Falcons trade him to the Packers, and that doesn't work for your query?

Kurt Warner and Tommy Maddox are good examples if your talking about getting a second chance. Maddox didn't get to the Pro Bowl, but had one hell of a year and has a Super Bowl ring.

Keenan McCardell and Jimmy Smith might work. Rich Gannon?

The Packers traded for Farve.

Multiple? Then Plummer won't work.

Keenan McCardell fits the bill.

Pro bowls are a pretty poor indicator as to if a persons career became viable or not, seeing as how it is more friendly to the Sportcenter stars.

Johnny Unitas. Jim Plunkett.

Terrell Davis nearly quit before getting that big ST hit in the 49ers preseason game that helped him shoot up the depth charts.

probably Kurt Warner.

Cut by the Packers in TC, went to Arena Football, signed with the Rams for the vet minimum, Trent Green goes down, and the rest is history.

Steve Largent would have been cut for not being good enough for the Oilers, but the expansion Seahawks thought he was good enough to trade a future 8th round draft pick.

i dont think the 49ers cut Eddy. They picked him up off of waivers when he still had 1 year left on his rookie deal with the G-Men, and then that year expired and he was a UFA.

Jimmy Smith is a good example. He was cut by two teams, then made the pro bowl five times.

probably Kurt Warner.

Don't forget where he went before getting back into the NFL. The city grocery store as a bag boy.

cut/ waivers what's the difference each team had their heads up their asses when it came to judging his potential.

but for what im doing, i need the view of the athlete as being cut by the team for performance issues, signed by another, then has a great career.
