I'm going to be bringing my son (he'll be 8 by then) to his first game this year - probably the Saints game but not sure.

Anyway, I need some tailgating advice for kids. I'll be flying in the morning of the game, parking downtown and walking over to the stadium. Is the Broncos Barn a good place to hang out with kids? Or is there somewhere else he might enjoy?

Normally when I come to games it's with Ms. Calif. Girlfriend and we bring a soft cooler with a few beverages and walk around the parking lot talking to people (we tailgated with Tailgate Nut a few years ago and had a great time by the way  ).

I'm thinking a tailgate with an 8-year-old may be a bit different though so any advice you all have would be awesome.

Oh, by the way, Ms. Calif. Girlfriend's son is a Charger fan (he's 12 and doesn't know any better yet ??? ) and I may be coming to the opener with him also - this season could start off very interesting for me ;D :chargstin

the broncosbarn is a cool place for kids. Pretty laid back and they have activities for kids ( or the kids in all of us) face painting, games etc..... he should have a good time there.

Well, you will have to limit the adult beverages while watching after an 8 YO but it will all be fun and food. The Broncos Barn is a pretty cool place.

Leave the Charger fan in the Barn and take 8 year old and Mom to the many great tailgates around including Orange mane Weekend.

Oh trust me I've already resigned myself to that:ouwknow: but I'm just thrilled to see my son so excited to go. Originally I was only going to take him if I get my season tickets this year (they say I'm "99.999 percent" assured !Booya! ) but since he's so excited I'm going to bring him either way.

I wouldn't miss it - you and yours were unbelievably hospitable to Ms. Calif. Girlfriend and I last time. ^5 (I'm only sorry I didn't get to a home game last year)

Well... if I get the tickets I'm only getting two so it'll be different games. The Orange Mane weekend is most likely going to be the game I bring my 8-year-old. As for leaving him in the Barn, it's tempting since he'll probably be wearing his LT jersey :tearhair: but he'd probably tell his Mom on me and the last thing any man needs is his girl mad at him :-/
