i used to do that years ago and havent been since 1996 before a broncos game but nowadays, there are some serious drug gang/cartel crap that is happening right there in TJ. Maybe go on monday day and stay on populated streets to shop and drink. Walk over too. OOOOORRRRRRR, just drink big time at the tailgate and we will get Sassy drunk enough so we can get her to give a "looky see" show too. It wont be chicklet candy and a donkey show but it will work.

Keep in mind you gotta have a passport or a special drivers licence to get across the border now. Personally, I didn't mind TJ, but (and I believe I can also speak for Sass here) once was enough for us.

Mexico is not on my list of places to travel right now. I use to visit Nogales all the time while I lived in Tucson. From what my friends tell me Americans have simply stopped going there. It's become a war zone with assassin style killings and even grenades going off. For some reason the mainstream media isn't covering the drug cartel war as much as they should IMO.

one of the popular restuarants was a fav for tourist and then found out to be a front for money laundering of drug money. Sometimes you just dont know what is considered safe. If you go, there is a plaza by the border (100 to 200 yards walking )that is totally clean and have shops, restuarants and bars. I think Caliente Sports Bar now has a casino. Good luck!

So much for a kickback, we just won the AFC West, bbq celebration. If we dont win this one, it is going to be brutal coming out of that stadium.

i came back to the mane when i forgot to include this. I figure that since they open the gates at 1 or 1:15, I dont mind around then to 2:00. I will find out later this week on details if Adam wants to go earlier than planned. Since it will be later, I figure more bandwagon Charger fans will be able to get there earlier to set up their brand new tailgatting equipment since this might be the first game they attent since 3 years ago. Ok, maybe an exaggeration but I feel the extra time will get people down there earlier. Add the fact that this game is now for the title of best of the worst teams and I think people will be pumped to party early. Ill wait for Adam's call as I am open to any time between 1 and 2 but leaning closer to 1 for my input.

TJ is worse than Oakland. My friend has friends who live in TJ and one of them died a few weeks ago because he was shot in the face by the cartel. Stay away from TJ. Especially American tourists have been kidnapped.

As for Oaktown, it isn't bad as everyone says, just respect the fans and walk away.
