Clady was a Bronco and needs to be a Bronco - dude don't you remember the statue of liberty v. Oklahoma - left side of the line (CLADY)? That was worthy of a first rounder in and of itself.

I agree and he is a darn fine run blocker in the zone blocking scheem .

I'd rather trade down for Phillips. Out of those options I chose Clady. You can't trade down for Williams because he isn't gonna fall very far.

We probably won't be able to trade down very far, either.

I'd love to see Clady on the left side of the line for the next 10-12 years protecting Jay's blindside. I think he'd be a perfect fit and would address a need.

Totally disagree. Both Chicago and Carolina have huge needs at LT and my opinion remains that Chris is the best pure LT in this draft. There's no way he'll be available at 17 considering there's a good chance the top OT is off the board at 1 whilst Atlanta, KC, Baltimore, Chicago, Carolina and ourselves all have OT as one of our top 2-3 needs.

I don't think Rivers will be there. He had a great Pro day recently. If he is there at 12 he would be an immeidiate starter to the team.

i want us to get Clady with the #12...

but if we can trade down and still land Williams, I can't pass that up...

If we can get back into the 3rd round and still land Williams we will have pulled a rabbit out of the hat...

Chris Williams has been a starting LT in the SEC for two years against excellent competition. In doing so, he has excelled at his position.

I like the Albert prospect, but he is a prospect. A #12 pick should be a guy that is ready to compete for a spot right away. He might be great, but he hasn't proven that at LT (although he filled in there). I would still love Albert if we trade down and pick up a third (and Williams is gone).

However, Chris Williams is a proven LT that should only get better. The dude is big and smart, and has his head screwed on the right way. We need smart, high character guys like him across the roster.

Stay put at 12, take Williams.

I voted to trade down for Williams but I wouldn't do that because I don't think he'll last much past that point if he even makes it there. This guy faced SEC competition and allowed 1 sack and 1 pressure in his last 850 snaps. Clady is good but I think Williams fits us better and I woudn't risk losing him just to pick up another pick we'll likely waste on somebody who won't pan out anyway. It's a no brainer that if he's there you take him at #12 and forget worrying about Jays blind side for the next decade.

With all this love for Willaims you would think Vandy was in the west lol . If took we really need to take a kick ass Run blocker in Chad Rienhart I love this guy ! and he has wheels . Move Chad to LG after this season and move Nailen to O-line Coach . Williams and Hamilton would be over powered a lot .

Willaims is not as good Run Blocker so I wonder if Coach will be willing to draft him .

What we need is an excellent pass blocker.

The Broncos have proven that they can teach sixth and seventh round draft choices how to run block, but the dexterity to pass block is something that has illuded them as of late. We need first round pass blocking talent.

I think we can teach any good O-lineman how to fit into our run blocking scheme. Actually they just need to fill in their role in the "zone." It is a team effort of which they are one part.

However, what we have been lacking is someone individually talented enough to protect Cutler's blind side on passing downs.

Hamilton gets rag dolled all the time & I'd love to see him lose out to somebody younger who can road grade a DT instead of having to always technique them. Williams isn't any worse than Clady in blocking for the run and Clady is already in the system, so I doubt he gets much better at the next level. Williams is getting stronger and at 320 he's got the size to block for the run when he gets into the system for while. BTW...Lepsis was not that great in the running game either. Bottom line...protecing Jay is the most important thing we need to focus on.

I would love to see all the players get beat out by someone. Denver would have a hell of a team if all the starters from last years squad got beat out by someone better.

Run Blocking is not taught we find great Run Blockers and teach them how to pass block . I agree we need to protect Cutler though ....

OH man that statement got my juices flowing

Im sick and tired of seeing our oline get ragdolled against the likes of sandiego twice a year. Lets start steamrolling the opposing DL please. I want to see Merriman bent over gasping for air in the fourth quarter after being bull dozed for the last 45 minutes.

After seeing that youtube highlight i wouldn't mind picking him up..he could return punts kicks and be a 3rd or 4th WR...moving into the 2nd WR after a year or 2...i think this is the guy anyway??

heck Scarface I don't think he will be there :wiggle: the OT's seem to be moving up the board so fast we will be lucky to get the 5th or 6th rated OT
