LOL sometimes W*GS I feel sorry for you .....you went off on Krugman , then turn around and post a right wing site ...... And then you wonder why people think you are a republican ........ as for your piece . op ed , mere speculation .. your boy didnt touch on the real problems , well the problems that has happened in the past .... Carter rushed in , Reagan rushed in , Carter over reacted to the opec crisis , stepped in too quick , didnt let the market try and work its self out , Reagan raised Taxes .Now government has let the oil criss works its self out to no avail , now we have a housing crisis , financial lending crisis , food is pricey , What needs to be determined is , are we on the brink of a depression ?

I have no problem with letting the borrowers who made stupid decisions take it in the shorts for their own stupidity. As long as the shareholders of Bear Stearns also take it the shorts for theirs. But bailing out those shareholders and NOT bailing out the homeowners? I would call that a nearly criminal act.

"reason" isn't right wing. It's libertarian.

I'd be more impressed, Spider, if you had the same level of skepticism towards others' posts of op-ed pieces.

And no, we are not "on the brink" of a depression. Don't let LABF's doomster horse**** suck you in.

Like I said things might be good in your white collar world , but in the blue collar world things are tough and we see no relief in site

You didn't read the article.

Sure I did. I'm agreeing with the concept of letting these people pay for their own bad decisions unless there is evidence of coercion. And you need to read the article I posted on the thread, "Your Congress at Work."

Being a hypocrite doesn't bother you, then. Fair enough. I'll remember that.

Didja ever think that you're not tuned in to the entire world so that what you experience isn't the whole picture? Hmmmm?

What do you think of Frank's plan, then?

I imagine it's a political tit for tat to the plan to bail out Bear Stearns in order to highlight the hypocrisy of those who accept the concept of bail outs only when they apply to FOCs.

Whatever, Spider...

You take LABF's posts of op-ed pieces as gospel; mine are merely "right-wing" and you're skeptical of them. Too bad you didn't read the piece I posted.

so I am the only person struggling ?

Sigh. One person struggling doesn't mean everyone is struggling; that some aren't struggling doesn't mean one person isn't.

Sheesh.

Indeed. So the taxpayer gets stuck with the bill to bail out everyone. Yay!

How 'bout next time we don't bail out anyone?

aren't we bailing out everyone already? we have the "stimulus package" we have the massive drop in the fed rate and we have the bear stearns bailout. thats a whole lot of bailing out from where I looking.
