Stays healthy, on top of his game. His celebrations may be pretty stupid, they're harmless.

Shanny needs to get him.

I don't understand how people were happy when Javon came here... his personality is/was 10x worst than Chad. He just QUIT playing.

Someone please explain me that logic.

Very few players in the NFL are worth a first rounder, but I would like to see us get him. To say he is the worst teamate ever is a stretch. I find his mouth as harmless as I found Shannon's and Portis'.

Chad Johnson is just a "Beautiful Whore" ya use him for like a year or two but at the end he just gives ya the clap.

Why waste all your money on Chad when you can spend it on a solid O-linemen which we need.Whats the use of having Great WR when no one can Block for you.The Broncos don't need a Chad Johnson. And then when the teams does bad he'll sh!t in your face "I want a trade blah blah blah"

I'm gonna Quote myself from the other thread.

1st rd is a steep price for any player. If Denver had plans on shoring up the lines with this draft and trading away our 09#1 for Chad, I wouldn't complain. It all depends on what happens in this draft.

I'd say no, trading a 1st rounder is very...rare and it requires a lot. If Cinci packaged a 2nd and 3rd...then that deal would seem more realistic.

AH NO. Theres NO WAY CIN will give away picks as well.
Hes a premier, top 3 WR in the NFL.
Hes easily worth the pick, its just a question of his attitude and weird 3rd person BS. Guys a nut, man. He has the mentality of a 6th grade child.
CIN would offer him for a 1st rounder or a real high 2nd and a player they covet from DEN or whatever respective team they were dealing with.

It's just a question of whether or not a team is properly suited to be spending 1st rounders on WRs.

Given his volatile nature, I'd be more inclined toward some kind of conditional-pick trade based on production. He is worth a 2009 first only if he shuts his mouth long enough to produce a pro-bowl season for us. What about a 2009 2nd rounder that could become a 1st with the right level of production?

Chad is a great WR, but he is questionable at times with his antics. I don't mind his celebrations, I'm talking about his off the field stuff. Sure he doesn't get into trouble with the law and things of that nature, but I don't like how he handles his business. If you are unhappy with the organization, let them know, no need to air your dirty laundry in the public.

You guys should really listen to the interview with Chad Johnson today on ESPN radio. It's just the way he talks and acts is what stirs things up, but when you break it down he's got his head on straight. I think alot of people here are a bit negative torwards his personality, the "black" personality.

They asked him about his team he praised his whole entire team. He said that they have a great offense, Palmer is a 99, Bengals have the two best tackles in the game and he will argue that forever, etc. He praised EVERYONE.

You guys also need to take a look at how much Chad Johnson is getting paid. It's pretty much embarassing compared to the other WR's in the league given his talent and stats. This guy hasn't complained really about his pay, he has MENTIONED it, but not bitch about a pay raise.

Listen to the interview on ESPN radio...he also talks about the release of Henry.

I really can't see why people wouldn't want him here...coaches love him, and so will Denver if he comes.

They even asked him where do you rate yourself amongst all the WR's in the league. Let me guess, you guys think he says that he's the best or something along those lines? This is what he said...

"It's really not about rating, because we're all damn good. We all bring something to the table, and we're all different."

Look at how good Tom Brady was when he gets 5-8 seconds to throw to garbage receivers prior to Moss. The OL was MVP of the Pats from 2001-2007. Look at how he could hardly get the ball to Moss in the Superbowl this year.

Marshall, Sheff, Stokely & whoever is our #2 will be good as long as Jay is upright and the running game is working. I'd rather spend the money/picks on OL and DL.

I disregard? In my original post I ADDRESSED a negative aspect he caries.

He talks a lot, he's very outspoken. Have I not said that?

His love for the game is pretty simple, of course you're going to be against it if you don't like him. Let's make it clear, he trains, he gives 110% percent, and he's top 5 WR, maybe 3 in some books.

I don't know if you guys really truly see how biased YOU fans are. This whole thread, we've been talking about his personality, etc.

Okay. Let's talk about his performance on the field.

This is a "what have you done for me lately?" league. Last season, I saw Chad drop a ton of balls and whine and scream at his QB when he didn't get the ball.

And what he does for his team? Have you missed the past month or so of his whining to the press? How is he doing anything for his team when he's talking about how he wants traded?

He's not doing a damn thing for football right now.

EDIT:I Just noticed you took a stab at me. Okay. I'll bite. I'm entertained by Chad Johnson. I loved the ESPN piece they had where they followed him to McDonald's and he ordered a Number 8 and a Number 5. I loved his "9 plus 85 equals 6". He's obviously talented. But so are Pac Man Jones and TO. I'm not disregarding the positives, I simply see that the negatives outweigh them.

And Johnson has said he'd play in the Arena League if he had to. I believe he's also mentioned Miami and Oakland.

The Walker and Johnson situations are pretty similar.

i don't care what anybody says...

i watched him when he was on the NFL Network, and i have listened to him on ESPN...i've come to this conclusion...

that guy is on something...

and he's only going to get worse from here...

he is either taking drugs or he SUPPOSED to take prescribed medication and he isn't...

when i saw him on the nfl network he appeared to be under the influence of something...

This guy hasn't complained really about his pay, he has MENTIONED it, but not b**** about a pay raise.

Listen to the interview on ESPN radio...he also talks about the release of Henry.

I really can't see why people wouldn't want him here...coaches love him, and so will Denver if he comes.

Say what?!!!

You are on crack. Lewis is getting quite tired of his actions and his mouth. And Chad's interview yesterday had him slamming the team not praising them. Gimme a break.

We can still get that OLineman you want this year. The scenario he presented was for NEXT year's #1 pick.

I said, I'd rather spend the money/picks on OL and DL.. I meant both this year and next.

I don't want to spend the pick this year on an OL either (I want to trade down for a couple of Atlanta's 2nd rounders). But I think it's a waste to pay Chad Johnson the money he wants and give up a pick for him. I'd rather spend the money on beefing up the lines on both offense and defense. If Cincy loses their minds and wants to ship him over here for a 5th round pick, sure, I'd jump at that and spend the money on him.

Yeah just what we need...good god some of you are ridiculous...Maybe we could trade for Moss Owens and Henry and be done with having a team concept once and for all.

If I could choose, I would take a gifted and and dedicated WR with no problems to play for the Broncos. Unfortunately, noone like that is ever available in FA. The debate comes down to whether or not we perceive that C.J would give more than he would take. I'm on the plus side of that equation, but would only want him if the deal was structured to hedge us in other ways. In the end, though, I honestly can't see Shanny bringing him here.

I don't care what anyone says. I love Chad's endzone celebrations!
