Notice How high he has Marcellous "Tyrell" Johnson of Arkansas State being drafted at the end of round 1.

I could only get 2 games of his against Texas and Tennessee, but he was damn impressive against two teams that totally overmatched his team with raw talent. He even got Eric Ainge for a pick six and picked Colt McCoy.

I seriously think he could be a Bronco after this draft. I think I will officially start that Bandwagon here soon.

What do you think of the OT crop?
Personally I, like many others are really interested in getting Williams should he be there. He reminds me a lot of Levi Jones coming out who I think I recall we had him as a "fab five". Trade down looks like a great option this year though.

I have Albert ahead of Clady and it would not surprise me to see him be a top ten selection.

Not sure about top 10.The 6-10 teams have much bigger holes on defense with good value, NYJ, NE (aging defense), Bal, Cin, and NO. So if he does not go top 5, I see him 11-20, as a lot of the teams 11-15 need OL help.

I totally agree with him having Jerod Mayo going in the frist.

I think Kiper was just looking to make some noise with this mock...he can't seriously believe Justin King is a 1st Rd prospect....right?

Tyrell Johnson recorded the most reps by any defensive back at the Combine with 27 also had a 40 Yrd Dash: of 4.41

He reminds me of Ken Hamlin - Cowboys

He'll be a beast on special teams right off the bat and after a year or two of taking in coaching and advice from veterans, Johnson could be primed for a big year. There isn't a safety I have seen since Bob Sanders that attacks the line the way Johnson does .

It would be very easy for a team to trade up into the top ten to take Albert if they wanted him bad enough. The draft order is certainly not set in stone.

King should have gone out as a receiver instead of a cornerback. Now he's just a fast guy that needs to develop at his position to make it at the NFL level. That said, he's a high-character guy who also happened to be a workout warrior at the Combine and the Penn State pro day. Now I hate workout warriors as much as the scouts love them, but King looked great and he's jumped up the board significantly since he first declared for the draft.

He ran in the low 4.3s at the combine then looked outstanding in position drills during his individual workout.

Surprised or not surprised? King's efforts last year, although arguably mediocre, still earned him a spot on the All-Big Ten team. And unlike some of his former teammates, he managed to stay out of trouble .

King also got totally worked over by James Hardy last year. Hardy annihilated him with 14 receptions for 142 and 2 TD's. King is talented but lacks consistency. I freaking hate teams that move potential players like King up draft boards. He is a 3rd prospect, but CB is a value position and teams will reach to get a CB.

Yeah, I mean I've been keeping track of King through his work outs and I've also been impressed by some of the numbers I've seen. I haven't really seen him play much however, so it seemed odd that someone who was earlier being touted as a 3rd/4th round pick is now a 1st round pick according to Kiper.

It happens year after year, but I still get caught off guard when a player vaults into the 1st round because of workout numbers. There's a difference between someone like Rodgers-Cromartie and King. Rodgers-Cromartie has been catching a lot of attention because of a combination of awesome Senior Bowl practices/performance and his showing at the Combine in terms of numbers. Maybe King has done the same...but I haven't seen any reports indicating that.

I don't think many people thought Levi Brown was going no.5 last year.

OT's are super value postions in the draft. Teams will maneuver and lose value to get good ones almost like they would QB. This draft has 5-6 really good prospects at OT and the Run on OT's could spark some real interesting trades and deals.

After the top 6 Top tier players, the next tier will be severely influenced on WHO takes OT. If Clady is on the Board at 12, I would believe DEN's phones would be real busy. That would be HOW DEN could trade out of 12 and Get some value. They might even get multiple suitors as CAR and CHI might be afraid of who the other will want to select. It's a big game of poker at that point with DEN having the upper hand.

As for the question of Albert being a top 5 pick in value: not at OG. IF teams truly project him as an OT then maybe. I just do NOT think he belongs in the top 6 elite players in this draft. He might be a top second tier player, but that seems a little inflated. However, it makes sense as teams WILL reach for OT.

Right, I'm actually pretty comfortable with our LB corp as it is...much bigger holes to fill.

Still wouldn't be an immediate hole in a team that looks like a string vest at present.

I would also have no problem with Albert at 12. As far as Rivers sucking....no chance. He totally blew up at the pro day today. Im only hoping he is there when we pick. Im almost ashamed that I fell into the Connors vs Rivers debate. Connors is a scrub compared to Rivers. Yes this is all based on the combine, proday, Mel Kiper, and my neighbor.:strong:

Rivers is an athlete, not a football player. I hope someone overdrafts him because that only increases the chance that Ellis or Dorsey slides to us, both of which would be much better picks.

I saw that and still feel like he's the Vernon Davis of the draft. I don't really see him shed tackles or make big plays. He did have the second best defensive tackle in college football plowing the road for him. I still say no to Rivers.

I hope we get the O-lineman of our drams (or Ellis drops), but there was some pretty sweet footage of Rivers at the senior bowl where he blows up a block from Owen Schmidt and pops his helmet off. He looks like he has some tools against the run. Actually I could see him making a pretty successful OLB for a 3-4 scheme. The Ravens have other needs, but they could take a guy like Rivers and turn him into a superstar - IMO.

Clady there at #12, trade down to 13-15 range, pick up a 3rd and then take your WR in the first... I'd love to see the Broncos trade down to the 18-20 range, get an extra 2nd and then take either Williams or Otah at #18-20. Then you gamble on any of Hardy, Kelly, Manningham in the 2nd.

No doubt about though, we will draft a WR EARLY in this draft. The Broncos are scared to death that BMarsh won't be ready for this season!

USC'S DL was one of the top 3, if not the best in College last year. USC's other DT Fili Moala would have been another 1st round DT to go with Ellis. Basically, they had 2 of the top 5 DT's in the whole country, IMHO. Add, Lawrence Jackson, Kyle Moore, and Everson Griffin and that DL was lethal.

The LB's are all verygood, Especially Rey Maualuga, but they look incredible behind that kind of talent up front.

The Packers must REALLY like the Killers if they're willing to spend a first rounder on their lead singer. He must have a good arm.
