Why does the idiot need to be on his phone while still in the courthouse? I am telling you now. This guy is going to be a flava clown of biblical proportions.

what's the big deal about being on the phone...?! no one knows who he is talking to. Could be lawyers, family, friends...

Am i the only person who thinks that WR numbers should be in the 80's only. I really hate seeing WR's with jersey numbers in the teens.

I say never let another WR have number 80 in Denver, but 81-89 is fine by me.
80 - never worn again
83 - Mike Leach
85 - Chad Mustard
88 - Scheff
89 - Daniel Graham

that leaves the numbers 81, 82, 84, 86, 87 which are WR numbers. I thought that the numbers in the teens were only used when the team was out of available numbers in the 80's?

You beat me to it. I was just going to comment on this. I wish the NFL would reverse this entire thing. WR's should be in the 80's only.

i think it looks stupid. if i didn't follow the team year round i would have thought BMarsh was a backup QB or a kicker, not a badass receiver.

Marshall, Stokely, and Colbert all need to change numbers

I don't know about all that...but being on the phone is safer than being near a TV apparently.

Half the time they aren't even talking to anyone, it's a ploy to avoid talking to anyone in person...many of the players have perfected this technique when they walk in and out of the stadium on gameday.

I agree. Teens are for QB's and PK/P's only.

My first game in Denver, we waited around for the players to come out and I remember seeing a lot of that going down....so much so that I haven't wasted anymore valuable post-game tailgating time on it since.

Are we really complaining about what numbers player's wear now? Man, we are truely in off-season mode.

This is exactly the reason why I haven't pulled the trigger on buying a Marshall jersey. I have a feeling he's gonna switch #'s.

Below is the numbering system established by the NFL, and in place since 1973:[16]

Numbers 1 to 19 are worn by quarterbacks, kickers, and punters.

Since 2004, Wide receivers are also allowed to wear numbers between 10 and 19 if they so choose, even if there's an 80-89 number available.

Numbers 20 to 49 are worn by running backs, tight ends (between 40-49 when an 80-89 number is unavailable), cornerbacks and safeties.

Numbers 50 to 59 are worn by linebackers and offensive linemen.

Numbers 60 to 79 are worn by members of both the offensive line (the tackles, guards and centers) and defensive line (the defensive ends, defensive tackles or nose guard).

Numbers 80 to 89 are worn by wide receivers and tight ends.

Numbers 90 to 99 are worn by linebackers and defensive linemen.

They did let any player named Foneco to wear 3 digit numbers. When you are that big, two numbers look way out of proportion. On the subject of no one wearing 80, should 84 never be worn also? Right now, #7 is hands off and I am open for discussion on all other numbers. But, it would have sucked if a player like Lelie got #80 and disgraced it.

A couple of questions:

1. Does anyone know if the entire team is in Dove Valley? any no-shows? I love to hear the entire team is working out together.

2. Half the time they aren't even talking to anyone, it's a ploy to avoid talking to anyone in person...many of the players have perfected this technique when they walk in and out of the stadium on gameday.

I never even thought about this!! Always wondered who they were talking to!! HAHA for someone who waits for players in hotel lobby's I sure feel dumb...

3. Anyone know anything about the new deal of players being brought into Invesco in covered golf carts?? Seems ridiculous they don't want to be seen by their own GD fans...

Receivers are allowed any number in the teens or 80's, just as safeties can wear anything from 20-49.

I think 84 can be worn again and needs to be worn again after our last 84(pussyboy) disgraced the number.
but in the case of 80, i never want to see another number 80 in denver, rod is the only number 80, just like elway is the only 7

I forgot that the rule was changed a few seasons ago to allow teen numbers to be worn, but i personally think that need to be changed because WR's look stupid in anything not in the 80's

Paging Pezman. You SERIOUSLY need to bring back the "flava clown" thread. I'm not implying that Marshall is a flava clown, but this guy apparently hasn't heard the term.

A "flava clown" essentially is someone who exhibits a "me first" attitude.

I'm cool with WR wearing numbers in the teens I might even like to see WRs wearing numbers in the 90s...It will be cool to see a WR wearing number 91

Think T.O. afterall, he is the quintessential flavor clown that the Chad Johnson's, Steve Smith's and players of that ilk totally aspire to be like.

I don't mind them wearing numbers in the 90's....but the teens just don't look right on them IMHO. I guess I'm just too much a traditionalist.
