Does anyone know when the schedule comes out? I know it is before the draft, but I could have sworn in the past it was in mid March or so.

last year...they released opening, turkey day games the last week of march and were schedule to release rest at the end of the first week of april....they eventually delayed release another week and a half...assuming similar times...i'd say within a couple weeks we'll have a teaser at least

it has all the teams we will face thru 2009, just not the dates. It has home and away games.

Look in the tailgate section. You can talk about all the games you want to go to...... then find out that it will fall on your wedding, wife's bday, high school reunion, Christmas Eve, etc. I only now breath what games I like and not plan for anything until I see that schedule. Dont frustrate yourself. For all tech issues, go to nfl.com

It's kind of intimidating in a weird way. I mean it's a broncos discussion site, so it's ridiculous to really care, but nonetheless it's still like that first day of high school.

it's kind of sad how real this site is to me, and how much I feel like I know all of you guys, even though I don't, and no one knows me at all. I expect people to respond to me like we are old friends, even though most don't even know what I have said here.

i mean i had class after work so i had to leave...all during class i still kept thinking about what i was going to post on this site to shut that guy up...

sad thing is i don't remember who or what that was all about but it kinda goes towards your point...

i don't know anyone on this site (except for my man Florida Bronco) but sometimes i put the same expectations on fellow maners as you brought up...

Not really. If you ever go to a tailgate and meet people there, it's like you've known them for a while and you have a great time. Just last week I saw a guy getting off the elevator wearing a Broncos jacket. We started to talk only to find out it's someone I've known on the Mane for years (Broncos Steven). I never expected to meet anyone randomly in Chicago from the Mane. So, it's not as strange as you think.

It's very true. I remember being somewhat concerned about going to my first tailgate in Denver, as I was somewhat outspoken at the time on various topics both Broncos related and in the W&P forum with less than popular viewpoints. I didn't know what I would be facing and had no desire to travel halfway across the country just to find myself in confrontation after confrontation......nothing like that ever materialized. There and at all the tailgates I've ever been to, everyone was welcomed like an old friend no matter what their online persona was.

I guess the point of all my ramble, orangeandblueblooded, is that fears about attending a tailgate and meeting Maners are totally unfounded. No need to fear or be intimidated by anything or anyone (well....except maybe CBF1, just take a pull off from the bottle he has and you'll be okay Ha!) I enjoy the gatherings so much that I base my vacations around them...a lot of people do once they go.

C'mon out, make the trip and you'll be glad you did.

As long as we don't face the Jets in week 12 with a 2-8 suckass record, I would expect the Jets game to be very well attended by Broncos fans.

I have a great sports bar connected to a hotel, with great rates, as I know the guy who runs the bar. He gets good quality rooms, in NY Metro, for 100 bucks. Not bad.

The sports bar rules, maybe the best I've ever been to.

Let's see when we play the Jets, but as long as it is not smacked right around a holiday, I hope everyone tries to make it. Good time to be had.

And if it is during hockey season, I'll host a few people here on Long Island, to try to go to an Islanders or Rangers game, etc.

Let's get the schedule first.

I used to really dislike Schefter when NFLN first started, but he has really become one of those rumor guys that is right more than he's wrong. And I think part of it is he doesn't come out and say exactly what the rumor is, he makes the audience deduct it from what he's talking about. Leads the teams, with the exception of the Fade, to leak a little more info to him.

Yeah, it's annoying to look forward to "April 3rd" for weeks and weeks, only to have them wait until the day and then announce that there's a delay, so we have to wait two more weeks before being able to start planning "OM Weekend".... :gripe:

Instead of getting our hopes all up for it, they should start the draft off with announcing the season schedule

It should be on its own weekend...just like draft weekend.

It will become NFL Schedule Weekend.

Roger can annouce the schedule a week at a time with in-depth analysis and remote reporting at all the key East coast team headquarters provided by ESPN "The Ocho".

There should be a Mel scheduling subject matter expert equivalent to break it down for us.

We could have endless mock schedules and an Official Orangemane mock schedule.

NFL should be able to stretch it out for an entire weekend of riveting must see TV.

It would become more important than the actual games. Just like the Draft is for some people right now. We could even discuss the merit of losing games in the hopes of getting a more favorable schedule the following year. :poke: ;D

It would become more important than the actual games. Just like the Draft is for some people right now. We could even discuss the merit of losing games in the hopes of getting a more favorable schedule the following year. :poke: ;D

I could find it enjoyable watching a detailed analysis of "strength of schedule"... complete with the offensive and defensive stats of every team's opponents that year. Then we could make fun of teams like the Chefs who lost as many games as the Fade, but still only got the 3rd-place schedule instead of the "basement-dweller" schedule.

For what it's worth...
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/04/08/schedule-coming-april-17/

Based on the current online schedule for NFL Network, it appears that the schedule will be released on April 17, at 4:30 p.m. EDT (http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/networkschedule?selectedDate=04/17/2008&field=selectedDate).
At that date and time, NFLN is scheduled to broadcast a two-hour version of its signature show, Total Access. But Total Access usually doesn’t air until 7:00 p.m. EDT. So, at a minimum, it’s a strong hint that there’s a special reason for the Thursday late afternoon show, which would be smartly timed to coincide with optimum at-work Internet traffic in all U.S. time zones. In the East, we’ll be commencing “it’s not like I’m gonna get anything else done today” coast. In the West, they’ll be emerging from the lunch-digestion daze.
The other possibility, as a reader has pointed out, is Friday, April 11. At 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. EDT, NFLN is due to air “NFL LIVE EVENTS (http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/networkschedule?selectedDate=04/11/2008&field=selectedDate).” The description, however, seems to refer to the re-broadcast of a Quarterback Challenge . . . from ten years ago.
However, to get maximum coverage of the schedule release, the league would be wise not to do it on a Friday afternoon. The news would get lost in the shuffle over the weekend, and forgotten by Monday.
We’re not sure why this is a big deal for NFL fans, but it is. As to the 16 games played by each of the 32 teams, we already know the “who” and the “where”; the only thing we don’t know is when the ball will be kicked off to start each contest. And yet we crave that last bit of knowledge.
Maybe fans want to see when their favorite teams will play in prime time. Maybe they want to make plans for road trips. Or maybe the release of the schedule is the first tangible evidence that we’ll eventually emerge from this morass of baseball and basketball and golf (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/04/08/schedule-coming-april-17/#) and hockey and eventually get back to the sport that really matters.

Talk about a garbage opening. Those games suck.

you never know, sometimes make drastic strides even if they don't make many offseason splashes.

I'm hoping denver is lumped in there.

Thank god. I just hope the Jets and Panthers games are prior to November. A lockout aftre I bought tix and made travel arrangements would piss me off.
