WTF... the guy drops 60ft and the only thing to break his fall is 2 pieces of fabric. Not only that, he wasn't happy with the way he fell, so he decides to do it again. Not once, not twice, but 3 times to get it right.

the guy has balls the size of watermelons

I have a ton of respect for him and have enjoyed his stunts. But I'd say he's taking it too far with some of those stunts. Hopefully he won't end up like the crocodile hunter.

He's in his 50's now. Most of those stunts were from the 80's and 90's. His days of doing stunt work like that are over (unfortunately that means there's not much reason to see whatever he's coming up with now). He definitely did risk becoming a croc hunter style tragedy, so I'm glad he made it through all that and left us with so much eye popping work to enjoy over the years.

He and Jet Li have a movie coming out together. I don't care if he doesn't jump from moving cars anymore, I'm seeing that ****.

The stuff he did in the 80's and 90's are some of the greatest stuff recorded to celloid. But he still does stuff that gets him hurt. In Rush Hour 3 Jackie was knock unconscious trying to catch a chair with his legs.

Oh yeah, I'll see that. Not sure what the expectations I'll have.

There's just no way anything he does now to compare to how amazing his earlier stuff was, and that's okay. I'm glad he's still around.

BTW, have any of you seen Tony Jaa movies? He's a worthy heir apparent still in his prime. Ong Bak is great and The Protector is pretty awesome too. Check out this scene from that movie, a 4 minute long unedited single take:

It may not have the visceral impact of some edited fight scenes but think about how difficult it would be to get that scene right.

I kind of hope he stays in Thailand. They just can't make martial arts movies in Hollywood the same as they can in Asia, with insurance companies and unions and all that involved. Plus I'm pretty sure he speaks no English what so ever.

Just found this on you tube to add to Jackie's legend.

Everybody thinks that breaking bricks is all about power and strength. In the clip Jackie holds a raw egg and breaks 4 bricks without breaking the egg in his hand.

If you gotta knock one martial arts star to praise another, you're just being a fan boy with no real appreciation for the craft.

The protector is total crap. In that scene, not one guy has a damn gun.
The movie portrays Jaa is invincible and that took away from the movie. Ong Bak is good, great fighting scenes.
