Houston Texans wide receiver Jacoby Jones was asleep behind the wheel, car in drive, with his foot on the brake when officers approached to arrest him on a charge of suspicion of drunken driving Sunday, prosecutors said Monday.

Jones, the Texans' third-round draft pick last year, was in the driver's seat of his late-model Nissan Altima while stopped in a traffic lane at Chartres and West Gray near downtown, prosecutors said Monday.

On the worst ****ing weekend to do it too. EVERYONE knows that the cops will be out in full force all evening on St. Patties weekend looking for a drunk behind the wheel.

If the jackass is asleep in his car, he easily could have. All it'd take is to relax his foot off the pedal and drift into the intersection.

but he didn't.... yes a drunk, err fatigued driver is a danger to the motoring public... It could've been a lot worse in his case though.

OK, if you're saying that at least he didn't kill anyone then yes, the world is fortunate. I thought you were saying he was a better person than Little because Littles' ended more tragically. When you drink and drive you're flipping a coin and I clump those guys together with no concern as to how the coin lands.

Oh, and that's with the assumption that he was drunk and asleep. If he was merely asleep, then he's just a putz.
