I think its another sweep of KC.

You guys give the present day Chorfs too much credit even at Arrowhead.

Cutler is the Chorf Killer and will continue that in 2008.

Pretty bid difference between the 4th and 5th options on the poll.

8-8 or 9-7 saying we have a productive draft.

Ok this poll does not even have the options for 16-0, 15-1, or 14-2. My guess is 14-2... KC and Oakland both will suck next year again and so there are 4 we will split with SD. Buffalo, Miami, New Orleans, Tampa, and Jacksonville are all winnable games at home. We have been talking that we want to get the home field back so going 8-0 at home will help. We are the only team that owns New England and Cleveland over the years. That leaves NY, Atlanta and Carolina that we will lose one that we should not loose, but we will go 2-1 in those games and end the season 14-2. I don’t think the people guessing 8-8 know how good our boy Jay is going to be.

8-8 because of LOS until that gets stronger can't expect 11 win seasons.

I said 10-6, simply because even a mediocre to slightly below average defense probably would have earned a 9-7 or 10-6 mark last season. I'm assuming the young guys get a bit better and the team stays relatively healthy.

Though I honestly think there is potential fro this team to be anywhere between 5-11 and 11-5

11-5 on paper, but I think this young team will let a game slip away that we shouldn't (Tampa Bay, getting swept by the chargers again, or letting Oakland or KC take a game from us despite their suck), so 10-6. We've got an easy home schedule, short of J'ville and SD we should have a pretty easy time there and trick us all into thinking there is some sort of "home field advantage" coming back to mile high. On the road we get KC, Oakland, and Atlanta, three teams in total disarray, so that should help pad the win column some.

I fully expect the Jets to beat us thanks to their busy off-season, leading to much wailing and moaning around here. Cleveland is probably a game where we lose by double digits. NE is a toss up if you ask me, especially if we end up playing on a neutral field. Their offensive strength is the pass, where we'll be our best thanks to good DB talent and Slowik's defensive coaching style, and Shanahan's offense seems to be the kryptonite to Belicheck's 3-4 front which is also now starting to show some age. I wouldn't bet on us to win, but it also wouldn't surprise me if we pulled it out. Carolina is the opposite end of that spectrum, I think its a game we should be capable of winning, they are in no way a consistent team in pretty much any facet, but we often play down to our competition and especially so on the road so I could see it as a trap game that we drop.

that is the dumbest forecast ever

If we are going solely based upon last years team, I don't think he is too far off. I do think we probably win a couple of home games he has as losses, but he does give himself a plus or minus 2 game range.

that is the dumbest forecast ever

Oh really.....well, lessee shall we?

New coordinators on both sides of the ball.

Unstable lines on both sides of the ball that have yet to be addressed.

No visible improvement as of yet to a very bad run defense.

A very underwhelming bunch of FA signings (unless Boss Bailey really melts your butter that is).

A RB stable that is injury prone.

No suitable replacement equal to the talent level of Walker @ WR

A ? @ PK even if Elam resigns, no set P, unstable special teams as a whole.

Need I go on? I'm just trying to be objective in my outlook thus far and to be honest, I see very little improvement as of yet. You can call the 8-8 outlook dumb if you wish, but in my view anything more is what Mock used to call "pollyanna" until things get seriously addressed and holes seriously filled.

At this moment, Denver is a mid-level team...maybe lower mid-level.

Deal with it.

I'm not so sure. SD, TB & Jax are all stronger teams. Den is probably on par with NO & BUF right now (there's your two game swing) but both of those teams have strong running games and given that the home field advantage dissipated last year and overall lack on improvement on the D-Line thus far.....right now, I'd have to give the visitors the nod.

We are pretty much in agreement. I don't think we lose to Buffalo at home, but I do see us losing a road contest vs either KC or Oakland. Last year we beat the Chiefs twice and we usually don't sweep the season series. Oakland is making a lot of waves in FA, but I don't think it will amount to too much on the field. I think we go 9-7 and with all of the changes that is being generous. I will say that I expect the defense to be much improved, but we are going to live and die with our offense. We fix our red zone woes and we could be a solid team on one side of the ball.

In the voice of wolf

"I talk to people... I'm good with people. I HAVE PEOPLE SKILLS! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!"

On topic - I can see 10-6 as a good record for us. They are very winnable games and if the team gets really hot and wins all the games our talent would allow I could see up to a 12-4 season. I don't think that will happen... I think we will have our mistakes and miss steps as we did las year. However, I think the club takes a big step forward next year. If we can get ourselves some DT's that we can rotate in and out, and we can pick up a lineman somewhere for depth. I don't think line is our biggest need, because Shanny may have it in his mind that Harris is our guy. Luckily that leaves WR a very possible option for a first rounder, because the value on a DT may just not be there. If we can put a threat on the other side of Marshall, and we can fill our DT spot I think we can have a very successful year.

I would say 10-6, specially considering the schedule (they could have been 9-7 this yr with a harder schedule, less experience, and a boatload of injuries). However, the Homer in me is going 11-5

Forget KC and Oak, they still stink and Oak got worse (despite all their moves, they coaching issue is a huge elephant in the room). Buffalo will not win in Denver (they are not better than last yr, and despite what others say, Denver has gotten better - more experience, and hopefully less injuries). NO and TB are OK but they are no better than Denver, and they are playing in Denver, so gotta give it to Denver. Jax and SD will be better in Denver unless Denver addresses its lines, which at the moment remains unclear. So that is 2 losses. Although Denver owns NE, this is not the same NE as in the past, nor is this the same team for Denver as in the past - loss. Atlanta and NJ are lousy teams, nothing should happen there. Carolina can be unpredictable, but they should lose. Lastly Cleveland has to be favoured since the game is at their place, they finished strong, and they have improved.

I am sorry but Denver owns New England, and mark this down right now, New England will have a post super bowl loss breakdown and finish 10-6 and sadly still make the damn playoffs because of the b**** division they are in.
