Hope – it resonates with millions, and why shouldn’t it? Our country is in a scary place right now. Our debt is mounting, and we plan to spend ourselves out of the pickle we are in? So hope in what -- A better tomorrow? Cleaner politics? Less government in our collective faces? And the vehicle to get to the place hoped for above is through greater government control? The empty message popularized is to have hope, but hope cannot be separated from faith. And faith in its real sense is tied to God, and our relationship to Him. Secular hope – is that the state can “save us.” Obama even uses the language and tone of evangelical Christianity to emotionally transfix his audiences. The message is devoid of the core that can begin to cure us.

And the sad truth is as the state does more – even sometimes when well-intentioned -- we need it to do more, as our collective capacity is weakened. Then we ask it to do more and more, which it is only too happy to do – and likewise as it does more (just watch with healthcare) the government will feel justified to tell us what temp we should keep our homes, what light bulbs to use, what to eat, and finally what we can think and say. Heaven knows, the PC cops are doing that already. Obamism hopes that they can erase our country’s boarders both north and south. Its about votes now, but the reason both Dems and Repubs dont want borders is that the elite eventually don’t want to be bothered by that pesky middle class. The solution -- erase it. Create debt, over-spend -- encourage others to spend, print more money, lower interest rates, weaken the dollar – and then as the USA gets closer economically to our neighbors to the South, it may not look as bad to join forces with them to create a European Union – like arrangement (they will tell us just to compete that is.) The less we resemble one county, but a conglomerate of several, the less we will have power to control what they do. We cant vote out those we did not elect --corporations that have positioned themselves with Meximericanda
