Democracy Now Radio
Most Amy Goodman interviews Stephen Kinzer, author of the best selling book, ALL THE SHAH'S MEN, which tells the story of how in 1953 the CIA overthrew the popular Iranian leader Mohammed Mossadegh.
Kinzer reviews the background of the coup and explains how that seminal event led to many of our present problems in the region.
This radio show is a good way for knee jerks who won't to take the time to read Kinzer's excellent book --- can learn the essentials simply by keeping one ear half open.
That's how obvious the lessons are. You don't even have to listen on all cylinders. MHG
