Ok so I just removed the sewn on jersey nameplate off my Walker jersey. That wasn't easy and then it has glue all over the area where the nameplate was.

Anybody know where you can get a new nameplate ?

Think I'll turn my walker to a sharpe. Glad this was a freebie.

I got a free Cutler and a free Walker from UMB or whatever credit card company it was. Spend 200 I would have spent anyway and get a jersey. Then cancel and sign up again and this time get the other jersy offered. They were quick to send them too. XL but for free who's complaining.

Think my Cutler jersey is safe ? I mean Shanny really worries me lately. :~ohyah!:

My mom turned a Portis jersey into a Bell with stuff from Michael's. Looked good. Waiting for our next 26 of note to arrive. :)

You might want to try the Broncos Proshop at Invesco and special order one. Never tried it. Either that, or an alteration shop that was already mentioned.

Maybe this will help http://www.authenticlettering.com/
I don't know if it will or not but it's probably worth a try....I doubt you'll get any help from the Broncos Team store as they bank on people buying the jerseys of transient players year after year after year.

Putting Sharpe's name on the back of it is a good move. My advice (and I know you didn't ask for it, but I'm gonna give it anyways) is to either do that or put your own name on the back of it. Unless you're a collector, there's no reason on Earth to keep shelling out hard earned cash for these things every couple of years just to have the player that's the flavor of the year.....most folks can't afford to do that even with replicas, but if you can, then God bless ya.

I, for one, am never going to be stuck with this type of dilemma ever again.

Never, it's an issue I as a jersey collector have been dealing with for years. They'll never do this as they want you to turn around a buy a new jersey. I actually had an idea a few years ago that I thought would be a win-win for the NFL and its fans. My idea was that you could bring in the jersey of a non-retired player who's playing for a different team that could be donated to needy countries (the same place championship gear of the losers go) and the fan could receive a discount on buying a new jersey. If the NFL saw fit, they could easily strip off the nameplates from the back if they'd like and I think it would actually have them sell more jerseys. I'm not an expert but I imagine the markup is quite high on a 75 dollar jersey that's been screenprinted, knocking off 20% isn't going to harm their profits too much.

As per turning a Walker into a Sharpe, your best bet might be to find a local sports apparel shop that makes custom jerseys. If you go in, they may be willing to sew you a Sharpe nameplate, but if the rest of the jersey is screen printed on - that might look a little weird. Honestly, your best bet is probably to put it up on eBay and start the bidding at 99 cents. You'd be surprised how much it may go for as some people just like collecting jerseys of players they like - regardless of team. You might get lucky and get 15-20 bucks for it.

I have a box of jerseys in my parent's storage unit that don't fit or of players who've moved on. I figure that 15-20 years now, I'll get 'em framed up as by that point no one will give a crap how long someone was on the team, they'll just make up a collection. That box consists of Elway, Davis, Sharpe, Romo, Portis, Anderson, Griese and (sigh) Brister. I figure one day it'll make for a hell of a little display.

As per the Cutler jersey, that's about the safest one of a current player you can get right now. I bought my sister an Elam jersey (her favorite player) last year and god da*n if that thing isn't about to be extinct as well!

I kept my Sharpe Jersey when he left thinking he would retire a Bronco...wife threw it away...still get sick when I think about it. Had the old Portis jersey screen printed will "Bell" for 3 bucks at the local sports uniform/jersey supplier. They will make you a tape and sew it on for like 15 bucks
