As i its right now the eagles are giving him a look but do we really need to mess with brandon marshall by bringing in another #1 that's what you do when you want your player to sign with another team when his contract expires ( i say no to randy)

You mean the best WR in the league who's just coming off the best season ever by a WR? And we have a need at that position? Hell yes, I'd welcome Randy Moss, but I don't think there's a chance he'd sign here.
I wanted Moss last season before he signed with NE as well. The guy is a stud, the best WR in the league, I'd take him in a heartbeat.

You guys really want to **** with brandon marshall for a bipolar WR?
absolutely.
I'm for whatever will get Cutler to that next level.
On one hand though it will be hard to take advantage of a Randy Moss because our outside pass pro sucks and he does his damage on 5 to 7 step drops.

sure i'd love his talent, but the price is too high.
randy moss is the equivalent of a sexy wall street stock. He'll produce but he's overvalued relative to the other options. there is no upside, he's tapped to the hilt.

Too rico. Also, too much chance he'll go walkabout if the team struggles. We need leaders who will keep playing hard through the bad times. Moss, for all his game changing brilliance, has never shown the willingness to do that.

We aren't a team with all the pieces in place that needs the icing on the cake. Moss is icing, he's great when the team is good and he is winning. Hes a cancer, a distraction and a pain in the ass on mediocre teams. Signing Moss at this point wouldn't yeild 30 points a game...ask the Raiders. He would simply cash strp us from making the real deals and signings we need to be competitive.

Yeah Randy is ok WHEN the team he is on is winning but, give him 8-8 season and look out. Would I love a talent like his here no doubt we need to stretch field but, too much drama and Shanny isn't good with these type of players.

In the 5th, 6th or 7th round. We just picked up a WR and have so many more needs than that. No to Moss.

No, it's the Bronco money and the Broncos have needs that far outweigh anything Moss might bring.

Overpaying for elite FA talent cash straps and basically limits the other things that money could do. If we had no salary cap yeah I'd be with ya but the fact is everyone operates with limited funds and our needs far outweigh what Moss could ever hope to bring us. I know its not my money but I love the Broncos and would like to see Cutler, Scheff, Marshall and others tied up long term. I'd also like to see young kids developed and tied up as well, the next Rod Smith and Al Wilson are out there somewhere, lets find them and tie them up as well. No to Moss!!

03-02-2008, 04:45 PM
I don't think you understand. The salary cap is going up faster than any teams can spend to keep up. The only team that's going to be up against it this year is the Redskins, and that's only after years and years of horrible contracts. The salary cap is not an issue. And even if it was, we will likely see an uncapped year in the near future followed by a new CBA. The only issue is money, and like I said, it's not my money or your money. If other people want to spend money to make my favorite team better, I'm all for it.

Marshall right now is on the verge of breaking out....the last thing he needs is some assclown like Moss who would give him the green light on his own flavor clown tendencies.

All I know is that they better bring something in that off sets the raise in ticket prices next year. Maybe we could get Shamoo for the halftime show.

I'm for whatever will get Cutler to that next level.
Then in that case you want O line. Given enough time, Cutler will excel.
Afterall, look at the SB. With Brady running for his life on every play, Moss was a non-factor in the game.

This is the ultimate sell your soul with the devil proposition. Moss teamed with Cutler and Marshall could get us far into the postseason overnight in one year's span.
Like Lynchmob alluded to, Moss is a quitter and I hate quitters. Moss is more destructive than TO and that's saying a lot. At least TO plays hard and has kept his nose clean away from the game.

I believe we would really need to upgrade our O-Line to get Randy the ball.

I dont know..eh I have mixed feelings... He is the best WR and he would be the BEST compliment to B Marshall...He doesnt whine and cry if other people get the ball either (Cris Carter, Wes Welker 100 rec.). I would probably lean toward yes!

I don't know...myabe it's cause he's one of the most prolific WR's to ever play the game and can take it to the house anytime he's thrown the ball..he'd be a perfect complement to Cutlers arm..if i was on the other team..i wouldn't look forward to going up against our offense thats for damn sure..obviously were not going to sign him but he'd be nice to have!!

I would love it to, or a longer-term deal with team options. Unfortunately I'm willing to bet Randy will be looking for one last big contract to retire on with a contender. Sure would be one hell of an offense though.
