A source linked Briggs, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, to Tampa Bay, San Francisco and Cleveland, with Denver called a ''dark horse.'' San Francisco long has been the rumored destination for the northern California native, but the 49ers have been backpedaling from Briggs amid charges they tampered with him during the season. The Washington Redskins worked their way under the cap this week, but indications are they will be thrifty.

Im thinking he'll be a Bear since they have about twice the cap space that we do.

Dark Horse? Sounds like they looked at the league, saw the Broncos needed a linebacker and said "We'll say they're in the hunt."

I don't even know how I'd respond to that signing...

What position would he play?

Everything I've read suggests the Broncos would really like to move DJ Williams back to the weakside. So who is going to play Mike. Briggs isn't a Mike though I don't doubt he could probably play the position. Very good instincts and he seems like the out spoken type... but who knows?

If a briggs wrecks his car in Denver would anybody care?

Seeing as how Briggs would be the best LB on the team if he signed he'd probably play anywhere the Bronco deemed appropriate. I wish they'd just get a young MLB, someone we can see develop over the next few years as the team gets better.

Maybe if he drove it thru the IHOP at 3 AM.

As disappointed as I was with most of the LB play last year, I'm not real excited about the money we would have to give him. Hopefully someone signs him today so we don't get the shakes and sign him for the sake of signing someone.

I think he fits in Denver. Plus this years money will be peanuts the way the CBA keeps going up.

1 year sensations scare me though :( That being said, so do holdouts, pass on Briggs.
