Well for Dmen, it doesn't matter how many goals you score. Though I would agree the Avs overpaid for Foote, I don't know the details of the trade fully but they say it is a conditional 1st round pick depending on where the Avs finish this year.

Foote is a stay at home D man he never has alot of goals and as for the pick it's a conditional pick and he will probably sign another deal (if he chooses) for much cheaper for the 08-09 season.

In theory yes, but in acutality both are coming off injuries. And especially Forsberg, who takes a severe beating on the ice from other teams, is very questionable if he'll be able to hold up for a playoff run also considering he hasn't played hockey this year.

Foote was a good pick up...good D-men that we needed badly..you'd know if you actually watched the games...btw hense hes a "Defensemen" so scoring goals isn't his top priority..his priority is to take away the other teams best player...when we flew all the way from columbus he did just that..did a good job on Iginla tonight..and overall a good job especially for never practicing with any of the current Avs with the exception of Hejduk and Sakic got to the ice with about 5 minutes left in the 1st..what is a 1st round draft pick gonna do anyway...picks aren't gurantees that they're going to do anything...btw on the power play we scored 2 of 3 goals.

Every time I see an Avs game on TV, it seems like I see more Foote jerseys than current guys like Statsny and Smyth and even more than legends like Sakic, Forsberg or Roy. He should get a huge welcome at his first game back at the can which I believe is Saturday.
