5. I became a little addicted to the Rockies when we saw Helton hit a HR in the bottom of 9 to come from behind and win the game to start the huge winning streak that lead them to the series (weekend of the Bronco/Raider game)
6. A possible future Pirates fan...depending on Hogan ;D

Used to be a somewhat Utah Jazz fan...I liked Stockton/Malone...especially when they played the Bulls with Jordan, Rodman and Pippen. Can't say I've watched much since...but I had a great time at a Heat game a few years ago when it was Dwayne Wade's rookie season. That guy is a stud!

When I was out to Denver for that Raider game, I was at the Saturday game that was their last loss before their streak.

Really......like they would change on a yearly basis or something (and if they do for you, then you've got a problem).

Actually, I was going to answer this the way I've answered it twice a year, each year since 2002 (by posting the URL to all the other threads made on this very subject) when after using the search option I discovered something rather amazing.....they have all been deleted!

So, in light of that act of coolness by our mods, I suppose they need to be restated again one time, just for the record.

NFL: Denver Broncos
MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates (R.I.P. Montreal Expos)
NHL: Philadelphia Flyers (R.I.P. Quebec Nordiques)

and for the not really into the leagues but will watch them if they're on TV:

NCAA: Georgia Bulldogs
CFL: Montreal Alouettes

Rausch 2.0

NFL: Chiefs. Once we're out/lose the Steelers.
NBA: Jazz
NCAA: Mizzou and the Noles
NHL: The Blues

Jeebus-tits...why I bother to watch sports, other than some perverse sense of masochism, is beyond me...

1. Broncos - Been a fan since 82 when I arrived in Denver

2. Manchestor United (worlds most popular team with the worlds most popular and #1 player in Ronaldo)

3. USA soccer team (Mens & Womens)

4. Barcelona (Lionel Messi 2nd best player in soccer)

5. Giants (only because they beat the patsies)

Not a fan of any basketball team. Just the players like Kobe, Iverson, Kidd and Wade.

Same thing goes to baseball, just a fan of the players. Like Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz and Schilling

Not a fan of hockey. Someone gave me great tickets to the stars game here last friday against the oilers and i end up selling them for $60.

2. New York Yankees (got on board with the Astros, now getting on board with the Rockies)
3. North Carolina Tarheels (NCAA Basketball and Baseball)
4. Texas Longhorns (NCAA Football and Baseball)
5. Houston Rockets (getting on board with the Nuggets now)
6. Colorado Avalanche and the Amarillo Gorillas

I'm pretty much just a sports fan. I'll always root for the 'Heels and 'Horns in any sport... and will even root for the Gators in football unless they're playing Texas.

I grew up a Yankees fan. Lived in Houston for so long that I really learned to appreciate guys like Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell, and then later on Lance Berkman and Roy O. Since I've moved to Colorado I have more reason to jump on the bandwagon. Guys like Tulo and Holiday make it easy to do so.

Hockey was never a big sport for me. I enjoyed watching guys like Sakic and Forsberg play. In Amarillo there is a small (IHL I think) team that we used to watch on occassion. Nothing special... but fun.

NFL -- 1. Denver Broncos, 2. Detroit Lions
NBA -- 1. Detroit Pistons, 2. Denver Nuggets
NHL -- 1. Detroit Red Wings, 2. Colorado Avalanche
NBA -- 1. Detroit Tigers, 2. Colorado Avalanche
NCAA -- 1. Michigan Wolverines, 2. Colorado Buffaloes

Usually the only major conflict I have is Red Wings/Avs. But, in that case, I cheer for the Wings.
