INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The Atlanta Falcons won a coin toss for draft position on Friday, meaning they will pick third in the April 26 draft with Oakland fourth and Kansas City fifth.

All three teams finished at 4-12 and their opponents had an identical record, the first tiebreaker.

Good news!

It just saves the Raiders and Chiefs money... Is there really that big of a difference in the top 5 picks? I'm sure others will disagree with me on this.

The difference in savings among top 5 picks isn't huge, it also further distances the probability that one of them will land McFadden - something I don't want to see considering our porous run defense.

I am hoping this means that the raider do not get Dmac....

Well this might be huge for us in that the Falcons are going to need a RB and McFadden is there. The Fins need a QB and have Morris, the Rams have Jackson so whomever is sitting at 3 probably gets McFaddden. This just smacks of the Raiders moving up to #1 by trading their first and second round picks, or 1st and 3rd picks to the Fins to get ahead of the Falcons.

the next Michael Clayton...

Please. Bowe put up 995 yards in a Hermified offense with a horrible offensive line, no running game and no quarterback.

He's only going to get better.

That offense is only going to be more "Hermified" next season now that they scrapped the Saunders playbook.

You might have a point. I still think comparisons to Mike Clayton are stupid.

I just keep praying they give Croyle a few more years to screw things up. Bowe is good, but Croyle will take care of that!

The Raiders have a boatload of money already tied up on RBs. Don't know if they can afford another huge payout with some many other holes to fill.

bunch of nonsense
LJ's best year is past him. He was run to the ground, and his body will no longer be able to do what it once use to without breaking down. Fans will deflect by arguing that the injury is freak and has nothing to do with the past, but it is the past that put his body in the position to become more frail/not be able to avoid damage by losing that extra fraction of a second in quickness speed. Time for you to find another player to have wet dreams about.

Did you even watch the play he was hurt on? He pretty much caught the pass and had no time to make a move before AJ Hawk quasi-horse collared him.

Larry had a CAREER LONG 54-yard run last year. He hasn't lost anything. In fact, his pass catching was noticeably improved last year.

Bob, do you even attempt to argue the previous predictions of posters who said LJ would be injured last season? Fluke or not, did he end up injured for half of it after a 400 carry season?

No need.
LJ ran for 54 yards on one play. That's the only stat the Pinata needs to validate his LJ leg humping fest. :clown:

There probably is no need, but he'll try to spin it somehow. I'm just waiting... this'll be a classic Bob post... I can feel it.
