The latest guy to get busted is Broncos running back Andre Hall, who was arrested on Tuesday in Florida for violation of Section 322.34(2)(A) of the state's statutes. It's a misdemeanor charge for driving with a revoked, suspended, or canceled driver's license.
Hall was booked and released on Tuesday in Pinellas County.

I'll say it again. Broncos benefit package to players should include limousine service or some sort of taxi service at the very least. Yeah these guys have money to order them up on their own but for some reason they aren't utilizing them. If they had the perk of a discrete company to help them out if they were drunk I would think they would use it.
It would save our guys a lot of time and money in the court system and keep our organization on the up and up. Not to mention the safety factor of the players driving drunk.
In a case like Hall who doesn't have the ability to drive himself anywhere I don't think the Broncos should absorb the full cost of his transportation though. I'm just talking in special cases, night out on the town etc.
Hall isn't the only guy to drive on a suspended license. He'll learn his lesson hopefully.

driving on a suspended license is nothing. Hell, I got in trouble for it once when I forgot to pay a fine. I had my license suspended, didn't know, and when I got in a fender bender got in toruble. Same thing happened to a friend of mine, but it was because there was a billing problem with his insurance. I have a couple friends that work for a Beverage Distribution center. They all receive a Taxi Card. If your to drunk to drive call the taxi they will take you home and arrange a time to come back and get you in the morning either for work or to go get your car.

Give it a rest people. You can have a suspended license for any variety of reasons, such as failure to pay a ticket and you wouldn't even know it was suspended. This is like jay walking you freaks.

Meck, what does a suspended license have to do with drunk driving?
Nothing at all. I didn't say it did.
My point was that you have a bunch of young guys on our team getting in trouble with the law and maybe this could be mitigated if one of their perks of their job was some transportation. Take the example that Denver Broncos JM gave.
Hall basically got a ticket. I wasn't making a big deal out of it. However if he does it again I'm sure the penalties will be much stiffer.
Personally I think these guys should be able to figure out how to get around town like the rest of us. However the nature of their jobs, and the nature of their pay scale puts them under a microscope. If I was their boss I'd do what I could to keep them out of trouble and give them some options. I'm sure there are things that Bowlen does for them that we never hear about but it does seem like transportation issues keep coming up for our team. That is all I'm saying.
I do like your idea JM. Taxi cards is very simple and something a guy could fall back on in a pinch. Cheap effective solution that could even save a life.

Son, you missed Shanahan's season-ending press conference. According to Mike, Andre Hall is a monster KR, and missed by mere inches taking three separate returns to the house. To be honest, I felt Shanny was overstating that as rationalization for letting Hixon go (Hixon had just returned a kickoff for a Giants TD that week), but even so - Shanahan was pretty positive on Hall. I'm thinkig Hall is a lock at #3 RB. I just wish Henry would re-negotiate so we don't have to waste a precious draft pick on a rookie RB ... Henry, Young and Hall would be a sweet 1-2-3.
Please understand everybody: As militia was inferring, the charge "driving on a suspended license" is the least serious misdemeanor anywhere in criminal law. Until the late 80s, it was simple "infraction," like jaywalking, disturbing the peace, or driving on an 'expired' license. The reason driving on a 'suspended' license was criminalized is entirely due to MADD (Mothers Againts Drunk Drivers). MADD lobbied, and rightly so, that DUI offenders were getting off too easily with mere traffic tickets when the were caught driving after their licenses were suspended for DUIs. So they lobbied every state in the union, and when I was last practicing law five years ago, more than 40 states had criminalized the offense.
So - logic dictates then - that unless Hall's licesnse was suspended for an alcohol related driving offense, this is a non-story, in fact it's not a story at all. If his license was suspended because, for example, he didn't pay the Florida license fee because he was busy working in Colorado, then this story is not even as big as a speeding ticket.

I managed a guy who turned in his resignation to me. A couple days later, ON A SATURDAY, he calls me to tell me he will be late Monday because he had to go to DMV to try to get his license renewed.
Apparently he was sent all sorts of warnings to have his emissions checked on his car and just tossed them. They sent him notices of hearings which he said he didn't get but knowing this guy he tossed. They suspended his license for failure to have his car emissions checked.
He then had to go to court, get a state id so he could fill out paper work for his new job, and get his license before he started.
He was scared he was going to be out of a job, all because he didn't take his **** box car in for emission tests.

Well Cutt look at our teams track record lately. You be the judge. I'm just stating my opinion.
As a business owner I can tell you I've had to do a lot more than give somebody a ride home so they could keep their job.
Some business owners fire people at the first sign of trouble. Some go beyond the call of duty to provide solutions. For my business I look for consistency and if I can help an employee achieve that then it's a win/win. It's not all about money when dealing with employees sometimes and keeping them on the team/ or part of the company.

OFFICIAL RULES
Everyone in the organization is eligible. Players, coaches, owners, front-office employees, etc. If the person works for the team and is arrested, the points will be assigned. The term "players" includes players on the roster, the practice squad, and any of the various "reserve" lists (with the exception of "reserve-retired"). The scoring system is simple. Seven points for a felony arrest. Three points for a misdemeanor arrest. One point for a conviction. If there are multiple charges, the points will stack, too.
For the purposes of the Turd Watch scoring, a conviction includes a guilty plea, a plea of no contest, and the entry into a diversion program.

Broncos' Hall pays bond for arrest warrant
By FRANK SCHWAB THE GAZETTE
Denver Broncos running back Andre Hall paid a $513 bond Tuesday for an outstanding arrest warrant, which stemmed from an incident in which he was cited for driving while his license was suspended or revoked.
Sgt. Jim Bordner of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said Hall was cited for the driving violation Jan. 11 in St. Petersburg, Fla. He did not appear for a court arraignment on Feb. 5, so the misdemeanor warrant was issued. Bordner confirmed that Hall turned himself in for the warrant on Tuesday, paid the bond and was released less than an hour later.
Hall rushed for 216 yards in 10 games for the Broncos last season. He also had two catches for 69 yards.

He is lucky he didn't rush for a thousand yards this past year. That Fine is almost $2 a yard.
