I guess Americans aren't the only ones disgusted with the direction of their governments. Even though Bhutto is dead, her party wins big. Now what happens when they try to replace Musharraf? This could have a very large effect on our policies in Afghanistan.

The results opened a host of new challenges for the Bush administration, which has been criticized in Congress and by Pakistan analysts for relying too heavily on Mr. Musharraf. Even as Mr. Musharraf’s standing plummeted and the insurgency gained strength, senior Bush administration officials praised Mr. Musharraf as a valued partner in the effort against terrorism.

And once again, Bush makes the stupid choice, backing the dictator over the movement toward a more open democracy. I wonder if the U.S. will ever support its own values abroad?

Looks like now BushCo is going to have to implement some sort of black bag operation to install a new fascist puppet who's friendly to the neocon agenda, eh?
