Has anyone seen this show? It's probably the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Check it out here:

I think my user title still says that.

Loved it since it started, put the songs on cd too, good stuff to listen to on a boring drive.

I noticed people either love it or hate it, no in between.

Edit: yep, still says that.

It's quite clever. Maybe you have to have been a musician or wannabe musician of some sort, I dont know, but the naive New Zealanders and their naive manager in New York trying to gig is just great for me setting-wise.

I think that its just the right mix. The characters are original and extremely funny...my favorite is "Steve".

Just looked them up a little on wikipedia.com much to yerners dismay they are in fact not gay. Bret McKenzie is engaged to another girl from New Zealand. I also found that he was in the lord of the rings trilliogy. Explains the song Frodo don't wear the Ring.

Actually, there's a running joke in the show that the only thing anyone knows about New Zealand is that LOTR was filmed there and that its beautiful.

Its Business time.... thats why they call 'em business socks...

I was hoping to see them in concert, but they are not making it to NOLA. Closest place is Houston, but I will already be there a week earlier for both Cake and to see the guys from Spinal Tab on their "Unwigged and Unplugged" tour. And those concerts are smack in the middle of the two Jazz Fest weekends. Yup, a fun few weeks for NOLA Bronco.

BTW, I love how the posters in Murray's office change:

"18 Hours from NYC"
"New Zealand, better than Old Zealand"
"Woolcome to New Zealand"

"Not Crying" and "Most Beautiful Girl in the Room" are both hilarious, and both from the first episode.

"A Kiss is Not a Contract" is roll on the floor funny too.

I watched one episode in the new season. Not great. Not surprising either, though; they said in an interview I read that they used 95% of their material for the first season, which is why it took so long for the second season to start. They had to write all new material.

Still funny though. Bowies In Space is another funny one.
