Are there any local Denver residents that would be willing to be a slingbox host? What you get is the satisfaction of providing quality sports entertainment to an out of town fanatic.

I would be looking for the same also! I have a Slingbox setup currently in the South Florida area that I would be willing to "Share" :) Can't wait for this season to start!!

Hey Guys, so long as it doesn't affect me or what I'm viewing I'm open to hosting.

The best setup is if you have an extra cable input somewhere in the house so when the other party turns the channel it won't matter.
Yes, you can do exactly that. It's not officially sanctioned by the Sling Media folks, but the boxes make it very easy. The box doesn't even need to be connected to a TV or DVR -- it can sit alongside the cablebox and sling the signal, so that you can watch different Denver channels without affecting what your friend is watching. Just look at the FAQ section on the Sling MEdia site, and it'll talk you through the set-up.
Let me know if interested we could setup some type of slingbox hosting community, each person buys a slingbox and becomes a host for someone who needs to watch the channels you have... or just be a host .. I have directv w/ sunday ticket PM me to discuss.

Slingbox works great, my brother is in San Diego he sent me the Slingbox I hooked it up and now he's not stuck with the Charger games on Sunday. I don't even realize its hooked up until he calls and tells me to quit channel surfing during commercials. Of course I changed the PIN to my Dish so he doesn't charge porn to my house when I'm out.

We can make our own DirecTV NFL package. Then slingbox will find out and tell the NFL and we all dissappear like Hoffa.

We might be sleeping with the fishes LOL this is something I think we would want to keep small. From my aspect if the person is willing to setup a slingbox for me in their location I would give them access to my Slingbox which is setup in South Florida (not like anyone cares about the Dolphins, Marlins, Hurricanes, Heat or Panthers though! LOL!)

I brought this up with a buddy of mine, I actually introduced this topic on the OM a few weeks ago, and he mentioned splitting Sunday ticket costs with him and I could access DTV online through his account.

As far as I know only one person can watch it at a time using the provided SlingBox (Slingplayer) software.

You guys probably know this, but the link at the bottom of my sig, "watch live streaming games here" uses slingbox to let an unlimited amount of people watch games live on their computer.
Some teams have a dedicated fan who streams it every week --streaming works through slingbox and another program, there was/is detailed instructions at the site.
Unfortunately, last season denver was more hit than miss. there appeared to be no dedicated streamers from the "denver broadcast area" it would be great if this switches around.

Will they bury us in Old Mile High? I'm guessing that's the parking lot.
